Ridgewood NJ, The New Jersey Criminal Code (N.J.S.A 2C:1-1 et seq.) contains a number of offenses which are specifically directed at public officials and/or employees. Although this article is not intended as an exhaustive treatment of all state law on this subject, it will hopefully provide a working knowledge of the major acts or omissions which may give rise to criminal culpability.

Official Misconduct (N.J.S.A. 2C:30-2) A public servant commits official misconduct if with a purpose to obtain a benefit for himself or herself or another (or to injure or deprive another of a benefit) he or she knowingly commits an act relating to his or her office constituting an unauthorized exercise of official functions: or knowingly refrains from performing a duty which is imposed by law and is clearly inherent in the nature of the office. The “benefit” obtained may be of minimal value. Investigation Into Hamilton T.P. Board of Education 205 N.J. Super. 248 (App. Div.1985). This also includes benefits not received by the public official but rather by a third party. State v. Schenkolewski 301 N.J.Super.115 (App. Div.), cert. den.151 N.J. Super. (1977). To violate this section, the individual must be a public servant and the act must relate to the office. State v. Bullock 136 N.J. 149 (1994).

  1. Is anyone in the Bergen County, State of Nj 0r Fed. Government listing ?

  2. This crew is done. dirty bull poop.people i believe in karma.

  3. You really have to wonder what these people are thinking.

  4. Fornicators

  5. If someone approaches the group to ask about the petition or sign the petition that is their right.

For a village official to interfere with these individuals demonstrates shocking bad judgement. She needs to reassess what she is doing. If she is being pressured into this extra intervention by the council she should report it.

    She needs an intervention.

  6. SHE HAS BECOME A POLITICAL HACK, SHE MUST NOT CARE AT ALL ANY MORE. SHE’S ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW. SHE MUST KNOW SHE’S IS DONE IN THE SPRING VOTE. WOW , WOW, THIS IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL. AND YES SHE SHOULD JUST LEAVE OFFICE KNOW. IF NOT SHE GOING OUT IN HAND CUFF’S BY THE FED’S. O M G , SHE IS WORSE THEN GABBERT ‘. HOLY MOLY. AND ANY OF HER APOSTLE’S THAT ARE FOLLOWING HER IS GOING DOWN WITH HER. I WOULD THINK THE VILLAGE OF RIDGEWOOD WILL BE ON C N N SOON. MORE BAD PRESS ON THIS TOWN.

  7. There’s no chance of any official investigation or prosecution. The Democrat machine that controls such things in NJ will see to that. If you take a look at her FB page, you will see that she bleeds Democrat.

  8. hah, you never know. big people are pissed.

  9. Why would any manager in any town do this. for who or what ,think about this why, there must be something.maybe in it for her. Right. because what else would it be.think about it. kick back, of some sort, power play, does she owe some one something, we the tax people are see’ing this, we are in a bad dream.

  10. Hiring Roberta is Albert, Gwenn, and Pauls claim to fame. That alone tells you how incompetent the three of them are. Roberta should be walked out in handcuffs.

  11. So let me get the facts straight:

A resident was speaking to another resident trying to explain him about their petition, and The Village Manager interrupts their conversation saying ‘hi I am the village manager and what they are telling you is not correct… blah blah blah.. don’t sign the petition’.

    Is this legal?

  12. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! She has overstepped her bounds again.

She has be ome a stalker of those who disagree with her. She now feels that they should not have been near the park during the Easter festivities. Does she work for the chamber too?

This superhero needs to get a life.

  13. I’m thinking Rurik is a stalker . . . . sending postcards to everyone in town.
