  1. Another pet project funded as workers are being warned of possible furloughs- $40k for a revamped web site. Is this really necessary?

  2. Borrowing for a website?
Are we borrowing money for 20 years to pay for that?

  4. So what’s going on with the old garbage cans that we have in storage? Are we going to utilize them. Anyone know.

    1. Seen some old ones and they look good,at the shopping center by Greenway Markets, quite a few there by the stores.
So, if they’re in storage and look good like that, no Need to spend $60K on new ones. Bring them back. Save $60K

But –now, what’s with the parking capital Bond Ordinance for $59 K ? for capital projects/purchases for the Parking Utility??

  5. So first out of the box with outdoor dining setup is mayor v’s greek restaurant and yes the mayor’s setup appears to be in violation of the village outdoor dining ordinance. Such ordinance requires 2.5 feet from setup to the face of the curb to allow for parked car passenger doors ample spacing to open.

    1. Do as I say, not as I do.

      Understand?

    2. Thumbs down all u want. Its a violation and its the mayor
No room to exit a parked car on passenger side. Such a tool

  6. I’m sure he understands, but doesn’t give two shits ‘

  7. The town is very dirty, potholes everywhere, the bus station is a disgrace, the village fleet is filthy, the village buildings are falling apart. Who is in charge. What a joke. Go look for yourself.

  8. ” So we are spending $47M on bill board ad campaigns to boost the auto industry so that someone can feel better about buying a car they already bought? Would you like to tell some kid they need to spend the night in a shelter or should we use that money?” [Kevin Kline reorganizing the budget meetings in the 1993 movie Dave] A classic scene reminds me of … do you want to spend $100,000 for garbage cans and a website and furlough employees.

  9. The Village seems to find money for the things that they feel are important. But if you are considering either layoffs or fuloughing staff, it is ridiculous to spend unnecessarily. They want to be the flashy perfect looking town because that is what people think it should look like, but in reality, there are more important items that need fixing. The Ridgewood Village email system went down recently, so why not fix that. fix the sidewalks that need fixing and the potholes that are in need of repair, maybe take the garbage cans out of storage if they are still usable instead of ordering new designer cans, stop paying others to perform services that Village staff can do, like watering, planting and other things that they want done. The village spends a lot of money on nonsense and putting up a baseball field when they have way many other pressing matters just doesn’t make any sense, but there is no one holding them accountable. They also had money to hire a consultant to tell them what to do with the historic property when you have a Village engineer who has already spent a gazillion hours creating CAD drawings on top of an already approved plan. This is just wrong and it needs to stop. The powers that be do not care about anyone’s hard earned dollars with the exception of one VC member Reynolds who is the only one with any sense.
