And what did they do with the old ones, they’ll be changing these cans 3 to 5 years you watch, once all the paint peels off, they will look terrible, more maintenance, you’ll see. But then again, the village doesn’t maintain anything they’ll just replace them in five years when are all rotted out. Waste of money.

Did the dog’s owner ever consider that a human might have to *touch* that garbage can after the dog urinated on it? That’s pretty disgusting.
This is no different than selfish/oblivious dog owners who allow their precious little animals to relieve themselves on the garbage cans and recycling bins that we and our neighbors put out on the street.

Hey this is Ridgewood, we need fancy garbage cans so that the CBD looks shiny and new. Safety concerns will always take a back seat to spending on things that people can see. This will include leveling 7 acres of trees for a shiny new giant turf field that one day no one will play on.
Waste of money, there was nothing wrong with the other concrete ones that they had in storage, we hope they didn’t throw them away. They were strong, heavy they look good. It’s amazing how they worry about the garbage cans but yet the bus station is a shit hole, the train station they never replace the windows in the building, all taxi stand building, another disgrace, and look at all owned village building sites. The only major repair the filthy fall apart. It’s embarrassing. And this is the village, what a joke in the world about spending millions on a ballfield on W. Saddle River Rd. If the village was a business, it would be bankrupt. Delete the mayor and council say they will be broke by the end of the year. All of the projects must be bonded, borrowed money, just wonderful.
