Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announces the next four locations for the County of Bergen & Bergen New Bridge Medical Center community mobile testing program. This initiative which has brought COVID-19 saliva diagnostic and COVID-19 antibody testing directly to communities across the county, will serve residents in Cliffside Park, Edgewater, Franklin Lakes, Leonia, Oakland, Palisades Park, Ridgefield, and Saddle Brook in the next round of testing. To date, over 8,000 residents have received testing at 15 mobile testing sites across Bergen County.

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco has issued an updated executive order extending the declared county state of emergency with modifications in accordance with Governor Phil Murphy’s ongoing plan to relax restrictions on low-risk activities. Executive Order No. 2020-01G specifically addresses the reopening of additional amenities in county parks, outdoor dining, and non-essential retail.

Today, a group of concerned citizens is launching the “District Bergen” initiative to bring more responsive representation to Bergen County government. The group will be promoting the inclusion of a ballot question in November 2020 to institute a Charter Study Commission in Bergen County, and will advocate for Commissioners who support electing Bergen County Freeholders by districts instead of at-large.
