LINWOOD NJ, In response to many conversations with doctors and nurses pleading for assistance, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Hirsh Singh has issued a statement calling for Governor Phil Murphy to start allowing healthcare professionals to use preventative medicines (prophylactically) as an option to protect themselves and their patients when COVID-19 infection is suspected if they choose.

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today announced the acquisition of 15 point-of-care ID NOW testing instruments from the federal government to expand access to COVID-19 testing in New Jersey. The portable, rapid testing machines will be dispersed to health care systems throughout the state, will be able to test for COVID-19 and process specimens in approximately 5-13 minutes.

Ridgewood NJ, On Sunday 4/5/2020 there was a major structure fire at Bagelicious in the central business district and thankfully firefighters were able to rescue a resident that was trapped in their apartment and they are going to be okay. In the midst of this large scale event, water was flowing into the basement of @ridgewoodcycle and once this was realized firefighters were able to mitigate the problem and get the water out of their basement.

Twp of Washington NJ, on Good Friday April 10th ,the Washington Township Fire Department Responded to a car fire today on the Garden State Parkway Northbound just before exit 168. All occupants were out of the car and uninjured. Woodcliff Lake Fire Department assisted in the event Township Fire needed additional water as their are no fire hydrants in the Parkway.

PARMAUS NJ, The National Guard is sending help to the New Jersey Veterans’ Home at Paramus where 10 residents have died from the coronavirus. The National Guard is sending combat medics and EMTs are among the 40 Guard members who were sent to help. Currently over 20 residents are battling the virus, and nearly 20 staff have also been infected.
