Fair Lawn NJ, recently we have had several stolen vehicles within our borough. Fair Lawn is not going downhill or getting “bad” This happens every so often, but it’s a reminder that crime happens everywhere. Help us prevent auto thefts. We know life is busy with kids, bringing in groceries etc…but remember to lock your vehicle and take your key fob with you!

Driver Rushed to Valley Hospital after Fair Lawn Crash

Fair Lawn NJ, a two (2) vehicle, early Monday evening, 01/24, crash in the 35-00 block of Morlot Avenue, Fair Lawn resulted in the driver of a Toyota Avalon 4-door sedan sustaining serious injuries that required ambulance transportation with an Advanced Life Support team from The Valley Hospital assisting Fair Lawn EMTs. Fair Lawn firefighters had to cut a steel fence in order to free the injured driver from her vehicle. Fair Lawn Police and Fair Lawn Rescue personnel & vehicles also responded to the incident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Ridgewood Man Charged Obstruction, Resisting Arrest & Possession of fraudulent government ID During a Fair Lawn Motor Vehicle Stop

Fair Lawn NJ, on Friday the 14th of January at 9:02 pm Fair lawn Detective  Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on First Street in Paterson and while speaking to the operator, Richard Lawson, age 29 of Paterson, a second vehicle arrived. The operator of that vehicle, Ewan Gordon, age 27 of Ridgewood, began to interfere with the motor vehicle stop and after multiple requests for Gordon to leave, Detective Buitron went to arrest Gordon when he ran from the detective. Once captured by Detective Buitron and P.O. Matthew Hearon, he continued to fight the officers until he was secured.

Fair Lawn NJ,  the Borough of Fair Lawn has a rooster problem and the borough  Council is considering regulating the keeping of farm animals as pets.  Yes Roosters are legal in Fair Lawn, but the natural alarm clock is getting a second look after several residents have come forward to complain to the borough council about being disturbed in their sleep.

Fair Lawn Rescue Squad uses the “Jaws of Life” to free the crash victim from a heavily damaged 4-door sedan

Fair Lawn NJ, One (1) individual was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital with a non-life threatening injury following a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Sixth Street, Fair Lawn, on Thursday afternoon, 01/13. Members of the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad used the “Jaws of Life” to free the crash victim from a heavily damaged 4-door sedan. Fair Lawn FD Company #1, Fair Lawn EMS, and Fair Lawn Police also responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked sedan from the intersection. The other vehicle involved, a Subaru SUV, was driven from the scene on its own power.

Head-On Crash in Fair Lawn Sends One Driver to Valley Hospital

Fair Lawn NJ, a Thursday afternoon, 12/30, head-on crash near the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue and Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn wrecked two (2) vehicles and injured both vehicles’ drivers. Fair Lawn EMS transported one (1) driver to The Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the other driver refused ambulance transport. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Fair Lawn Police handled the accident investigation. Traffic on westbound Fair Lawn Avenue was detoured at Saddle River Road while the victims were attended to and the roadway was cleared of debris.

Vehicle Rolls Over after Striking Parked Mini-van in Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn NJ, the driver of a black colored 4-door Toyota Camry sedan sustained non-life threatening injuries during a 2-vehicle rollover crash on Heights Avenue, Fair Lawn early Monday morning, 12/27. The Camry struck an unoccupied, parked Toyota mini-van before rolling over on its side. A Fair Lawn EMS ambulance transported the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. The Camry and the minivan were both removed by a flatbed tow truck. Fair Lawn Police also responded to the incident.

Fair Lawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MOHAMMAD RAMADAN (DOB: 5/3/1987; single; tech consultant) of 27 Lexington Avenue, Rochelle Park, NJ on attempted murder, aggravated assault, and unlawful weapons possession charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.

Former Home Health Aide to Fair lawn Victim Charged with Accumulating $8165 in improper credit card charges

Fair Lawn NJ, Fair Lawn Police Detective Brian Rypkema investigated a report of a debit card being used by a former home health aide to the victim that had accumulated $8165 in improper charges in 2018.  Rosmery Nunezdrodriguez, age 38 of Paterson, responded to police headquarters and was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.

Fair Lawn Police Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
