Man Beaten and Robbed in Broad Daylight in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ,  a 66-year-old Bergenfield man was assaulted and robbed of his wallet in the parking lot of a De Boer Drive warehouse where he is employed. The man was left lying in the parking lot, as the actor fled the scene. Co-workers who heard his calls for help found him and called 9-1-1. The victim was subsequently transported by the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with non-life-threatening injuries.

13-year-old child’s SE bicycle Stolen in front of Yama Sushi in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, on Saturday June 4th at 3:44 PM , a Glen Rock resident reported that their 13-year-old child’s SE bicycle, valued at $1,000, was taken from in front of Yama Sushi on the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.  According to the youth, the bicycle was left unlocked and unattended in front of the store and was gone when they returned.

Highly Intoxicated Man Attempting to Enter the Wrong Home Triggers 911 Call in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday June 5th at 3:32 AM, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a 9-1-1 report of a burglary in progress on the 800 block of Prospect Street. Responding officers subsequently apprehended a highly intoxicated 41-year-old Turnersville, NY man.  Investigation determined that the subject was visiting and staying with a resident on Garvey Place and attempted to enter the wrong home.  No damage was done to the Prospect Street home and the residents were advised of the situation.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police and NJ Transit Police detectives are investigating the death of an individual who was struck by a NJ Transit Hoboken bound, Bergen Line train at the Boro Hall, Glen Rock train station. The incident was reported to have occurred at 9:22 am on Wednesday, 06/08.

Paterson Resident Tracks Stolen iPhone to a home in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, on Wednesday May 18th at 8:59 PM, a Paterson resident, who had tracked their stolen iPhone to a home on the 300 block of Boulevard requested police assistance. At the same time this call was received, the resident also phoned police about an unknown person ringing the doorbell. The Paterson man had not only tracked his phone to the Glen Rock address, but also produced video surveillance footage from Home Depot in Paterson purportedly identifying the individual who stole the phone. Glen Rock Officers interviewed the resident and were subsequently able to recover the iPhone. The victim was satisfied with recovering their phone and was advised of their right to sign complaints for theft with the Paterson Municipal Court if they so desired.

Quick Action by Bank Manager and Glen Rock Police Foil Fraudulent Check Cashing Attempt

Glen Rock NJ, on Tuesday May 24th at 2:41 PM, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to the M&T Bank on Prospect Street in response to a bank official’s report of a male subject, dressed as a construction worker, attempting to cash a fraudulent check.  The bank manager related to officers that they became suspicious of the check, as well as the fact that the subject was not a customer of their bank.  When they contacted the account holder it was confirmed that the check was in fact fraudulent.  The actual account holder had been the victim of identity theft with several fraudulent checks cashed against their account.  Responding officers ran a computer check of the identification provided by the actor, a Pennsylvania Driver’s license, which came back to a female subject who had also been the victim of identity theft.

Glen Rock Residents Stolen Land Rover Involved in a Suspicious Incident in Newark

Glen Rock NJ, on Monday May 05-16-2022 – 5:37 PM a Glen Rock Officer was dispatched to a home on the 200 block of Pinelynn Road at the request of the Newark Police Department after one of their officers received a report of the resident’s vehicle being involved in a suspicious incident in their jurisdiction.  Upon interviewing the resident, who was unaware that their vehicle was missing, it was learned that the 2019 Land Rover had been stolen. According to the resident the vehicle had been left unlocked with the key fob inside. The resident also reported that there was a large amount of sports apparel in the vehicle.

Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday May 22nd at 11:01 AM a Valley Road resident reported criminal mischief to their vehicle, which occurred sometime overnight.  According to the complainant they found a dead fish was left near the windshield and an unknown substance was poured on the vehicle. The resident also reported two other acts of criminal mischief that have occurred on their property over the last year, which may be related.  Those residing at the home have indicated that they have not been involved in any disputes or any other type of issue which they believe would give rise to the pattern of incidents.  The Glen Rock Detective Bureau is reviewing the matter.

Glen Rock NJ, on Wednesday May 25th at 3:31 AM Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a warehouse on De Boer Drive to investigate a report from workers who had confronted an intruder trespassing inside their work area.  No physical confrontation occurred. The actor had run off towards Harristown Road and Route 208 as police were being summoned.  A search of the area by officers from Glen Rock, Fair Lawn, Hawthorne, and Paterson proved negative.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police say two teens called 911 after they were awoken by the intruders rifling through their home. The brothers reported that at least two men armed with a knife and other weapons forced their way into their home.

Dog Walker Becomes Irate after Glen Rock Recycling Center Employee Files Dog Bite Workplace Injury Report

Glen Rock NJ, on Saturday May 28th at 2:38 PM ,an employee at the Glen Rock Recycling Center was bitten by a dog which had jumped from a vehicle inside the complex.  The dog was under the care of a dog walker, a 46-year-old Midland Park woman, who became irate when she learned that the employee needed to file a report due to both the dog bite and a workplace injury.  At some point during the incident, the woman reportedly grabbed the employee and demanded that he not report the incident.

Glen Rock Resident Awakens to Find Home Burglarized

Glen Rock Nj, on Saturday May 21st at 10:35 AM ,Glen Rock Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of S. Highwood Avenue on a reported burglary.  The resident reported that while they slept overnight someone had entered their home, sometime after 11:00 PM.  It appeared that the unknown actor entered through the kitchen window and took $400 in cash from a wallet in the adjacent dining room.  Nothing else in the house was disturbed.
