Ridgewood NJ, in a dramatic turn of events on Saturday afternoon, August 24, a three-vehicle chain reaction collision in Ridgewood saw four adults and a several-months-old infant narrowly avoid serious injury. The incident unfolded in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue, near Orchard Place, and was triggered when the lead vehicle slowed down for a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark there is a fallen tree on Lincoln Avenue. The roadway is CLOSED in both directions in the area of McKinley Place. Areas on the west side are without power due to down power lines. PSE&G has been notified and is responding.

Glen Rock NJ, the adult male driver of an older model Honda Pilot sustained a minor leg injury when his vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Lincoln Avenue near Greenway Road, Glen Rock. The crash took place at approximately 2:45 PM on Tuesday, 06/27. Glen Rock Police and Glen Rock EMS responded to the incident. An ambulance transported the accident victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged SUV from the scene.
Glen Rock NJ, a multi-agency fatal accident investigation is underway in connection with an early Monday morning, 01/30, tragedy in which a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue, Glen Rock. The vehicle involved, reportedly a Honda CRV, fled the scene and was last reported seen traveling northbound on Lincoln Avenue in Glen Rock near the Lincoln Avenue overpass of Route 208. A tanker truck driver witnessed the incident and immediately began rendering first aid to the individual prior to the arrival of emergency responders. The victim was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance and died shortly after arriving. Lincoln Avenue was closed from 713 am to 10:39 am .
Hawthorne NJ, a multi-vehicle, Wednesday morning, 01/11, collision in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, Hawthorne necessitated a response by two (2) flatbed tow trucks to remove an SUV and work van involved in the incident. No injuries were reported in the mishap. Hawthorne Police was assisted by Glen Rock Police with traffic control.
Hawthorne NJ, three (3) individuals were hospitalized following a two (2) vehicle, early Wednesday morning, 10/19, collision at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Loretto Avenue, on the border of Fair Lawn and Hawthorne. One (1) of the vehicles involved was propelled into the front façade of a nearby Hawthorne restaurant, which was, fortunately, unoccupied at the time. Both heavily damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.
Ridgewood NJ, a 10-day old Volkswagen Tiguan, unoccupied and parked in a driveway, was crushed by a fallen tree in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue, Ridgewood late Tuesday evening, 08/09. The tree also caused moderate damage to a single family home when it fell. No injuries were reported by any the home’s occupants, who were able to return inside once it was deemed safe to do so by a team of Ridgewood firefighters. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Emergency Services also responded to the incident.
Glen Rock NJ, on Saturday June 4th at 3:44 PM , a Glen Rock resident reported that their 13-year-old child’s SE bicycle, valued at $1,000, was taken from in front of Yama Sushi on the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. According to the youth, the bicycle was left unlocked and unattended in front of the store and was gone when they returned.
Glen Rock NJ , according to the Glen Rock Police on Tuesday May 3rd at 5:32 PM a Hillsdale woman reported that she was the victim of a road rage incident which occurred on Lincoln Avenue near Diamond Bridge. She recounted that she pulled over to yield to an ambulance with its emergency equipment activated. When she reentered the roadway, a white SUV began tailgating her. When both vehicles stopped for a red light, the occupant of the white SUV, described as a white female, exited her vehicle and approached. The woman reportedly began screaming obscenities at the complainant and spit on her window. The victim was able to obtain the actor’s license plate number and called 9-1-1 for assistance.
Glen Rock NJ, on Sunday January 30th at 07:48 AM Glen Rock Police Patrols responded to investigate a reported window broken out at the front door of Yami Sushi Restaurant at 945 Lincoln Avenue and determined that a burglary had occurred. The inner counter area appeared to have been tampered with and an undetermined amount of cash was taken from the register. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Investigators from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department BCI, Glen Rock detectives are examining video surveillance images and continuing the investigation.
Hawthorne NJ, at least three (3) individuals were transported to local area hospitals following a multi-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, Hawthorne on Tuesday afternoon, 11/23. Hawthorne Police, and Hawthorne Fire Department Company #4 responded to the incident along with mutual aid BLS units from The Valley Hospital. Glen Rock Police officers assisted with traffic control. Two (2) vehicles sustained heavy crash related damage; a third vehicle may have been removed from the scene on its own power. Hawthorne Auto Body removed the wrecked cars. A crash related fluid spill was attended to by firefighters from Hawthorne Fire Department.

Fair Lawn NJ, a late Wednesday afternoon, 08/04, rollover crash with entrapment in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue, directly on the Fair Lawn-Hawthorne border, triggered a turnout of emergency responders representing several municipalities. The lone occupant of the rolled over vehicle, its adult female driver, was extricated by Fair Lawn Fire Department and Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue members and transported to a nearby hospital by members of the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Her injuries appeared to have been non life threatening in nature. Fair Lawn Police, Glen Rock Police, and Hawthorne Police officers also responded to the mishap. Traffic on Lincoln Avenue between Harristown Road and Loretto Avenue was diverted while emergency crews worked.
