Hackensack NJ, on October 27th at approximately 11:50am City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded to 70 Polifly Road on a report of a possible collapse. Arriving units found front awning had collapsed with one construction worker injured. City of Hackensack Firefighters provided first aid and checked for injuries on a male patient. HUMC ALS and BLS took over patient care, firefighters assisted with packaging of patient for transport to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. City Building Department, Electrical Inspector and Fire Prevention were notified and responded to the scene. Firefighters secured power to the collapsed awning, Investigators from OSHA were notified and responded for the investigation.

Just hours later, the Bergen County Democrats nominated Thomas Padilla to the Bergen County Board of Elections. The appointment is ultimately made by Governor Phil Murphy.

Hackensack NJ, according to data compiled by Becker’s, Hackensack University Medical Center with 133,190 visits recorded the highest volume of emergency department visits in 2022 among individual facilities in the State of New Jersey and ranked 10th in the country . St. Joseph’s University Medical Center (Paterson, N.J.) had 112,690 visits came in second in the state and the 23rd highest volume emergency room in the country and Morristown Medical Center was the third busiest in the state with 103,674 visits and 35 busiest in the country.

CASTILLO-PAULA (DOB: 06/17/2002; single; unemployed) of 4611 Whitaker Ave, Philadelphia, PA; and ANTHONY L. MEDINA-SUAREZ (DOB: 11/21/2001; single; unemployed) of 2847 Disston Street, Philadelphia, PA for weapons offenses. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

Andreas and Angela Hajiyerou, who have been the proprietors of this enduring 400-seat restaurant and catering venue for the past 31 years, have made the decision to sell the property and will permanently close the establishment on October 24th.
