Once our officers arrived on scene, one of the involved parties; specifically, Alberto J. Maymi-Sepulveda (42 years of age), began to flee the scene in a vehicle. While in the process of doing so, he slammed the door on the officer who was attempting to stop him. The suspect then accelerated and struck the officer with the vehicle as he fled from the scene.
