Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the conviction of SUI KAM “TONY” TUNG of New York City, NY, for the murder of Robert Cantor in Teaneck, NJ on March 6, 2011. On July 27, 2023, following an 8-week jury trial before the Honorable Christopher Kazlau, J.S.C., in Bergen County Superior Court, TUNG was convicted of murder, aggravated arson, desecration of human remains, hindering apprehension, tampering with evidence, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and stalking.

Teaneck NJ, last week, the Township of Teaneck held their unveiling of “Lt. Freddy Greene Way” in honor of the town’s first African American police officer! Greene was a trailblazer and inspiration to thousands of families and kids growing up in Teaneck. He served on the force for 26 years before retiring in 1988, changing lives along the way. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco called it, “an amazing way to commemorate such an influential Bergen County resident!”

The 2022-2023 season was historic for both the men’s and women’s teams who each won over 20+ games. The FDU Lady Knights set a regular season record for most wins in a season and took home the Northeast Conference season championship.

Teaneck NJ, Wednesday at 4:50pm City of Hackensack Fire Department Deputy 1 and Ladder 1 responded mutual aid to 108 West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck on a working structure fire. Teaneck firefighters quickly extinguished the fire confining it to the room of origin. Englewood Fire Ladder and Safety officer were also on scene.

Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of RON REEDER (DOB: 5/13/1969; single; unemployed) and TAISHA BRAMWELL (DOB: 7/24/1983; single; unemployed), both of 1500 Teaneck Road, Apt. 426, Teaneck, NJ; and RICKEY RICHARDSON (DOB: 7/9/1966; single; unemployed) of 539 First Street, Windber, PA on multiple weapons, drug, identity theft and financial charges. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the New York City Police Department.
