NJ State Police Responded to 283 Motor Vehicle Crashes During Winter Storm

Trenton NJ, according to the NJ State Police ,as of 9:30 pm on Saturday January 29th they had responded to 283 motor vehicle crashes and 641 motorist aids in NJ State Police patrolled areas since 6:00 p.m Friday. Motorist aids can be anything from flat tires, mechanical breakdowns, spin outs, etc.  During storms the NJ State Police once again remind residents that it is always best to remain off of the roads while the road crews clear and treat roadways.

Governor Murphy Declares State of Emergency in Preparation for Winter Storm

Commercial Vehicle Restrictions in Place on Multiple Interstate Highways Beginning 5:00 P.M. Tonight

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency effective at 5:00 p.m., in preparation for a winter storm forecasted to impact the state with severe weather conditions starting tonight, Friday January 28, through the afternoon of Saturday, January 29. Executive Order No. 285 declares a State of Emergency across all 21 counties in New Jersey, allowing resources to be deployed throughout the state during the duration of the storm.

Trenton NJ, January 11th was National Human Trafficking Awareness Day and  Acting Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck and New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick J. Callahan announced the arrests of Marquise Ogawa, 28, Chyaire Lee, 26, and Jazmin Scott, 21, all of Lawnside, N.J., for allegedly trafficking a missing child for prostitution. During the three-month investigation, detectives discovered that the suspects were allegedly operating a human trafficking network out of Camden County, N.J., in which they trafficked the juvenile victim.
