All sidewalks in residential districts must be cleared within 24 hours of the snow falling. Please do not place snow into the street; instead, place it back onto your own property. In addition, if you have a fire hydrant on your property, please clear it of any snow accumulation.

Ridgewood NJ, A major winter storm is expected to hit New Jersey starting Wednesday December 16, 2020 with snowfall expected up to 18” in our region. Forecasts also expect strong winds (up to 60mph) along with freezing rain through Thursday AM. The combination of high winds and a large accumulation of snow may produce localized power outages, downed wires, downed trees and may cause issues with the snow removal process.
First and foremost, the Ridgewood Police Department wants to ensure that our community is safe, and prepares for this weather event by ensuring our residents prepare themselves and their families for the upcoming days.

Ridgewood NJ, Today Mr. Vito Bari, Branch Manager of the Blue Foundry Bank at 55 North Broad Street in Ridgewood, presented a $1500 donation from the bank to the St. Paul’s, Paterson, Food Pantry. The Pantry Manager, Kimberly Arias, was overwhelmed. The Food Pantry, which is just minutes from Ridgewood, will use this money to help keep the shelves stocked, a challenge that has been increasingly difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic.
