Ridgewood NJ, a reader asked ,”How would/should movements like BLM stop the violence in inner city communities? What should local municipalities (black-run or not) do to stem the violence? One way could be to allocate more resources to education, to allocate resources to community programs, to allocate resources to places like Planned Parenthood, etc. — all things that many commentators and authors on this blog would be against. So what do you experts think?”

The Ridgewood decided to ask a  expert  Shelby Steele is the Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He specializes in the study of race relations, multiculturalism, and affirmative action. He was appointed a Hoover fellow in 1994.

The Ridgewood blog complied these quotes from several interviews .

Reader asks ,”Are there imprisoned, enslaved or oppressed people in Ridgewood”

“liberation
[ˌlibəˈrāSH(ə)n]
NOUN
the act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, or oppression.

Are there imprisoned, enslaved or oppressed people in Ridgewood at the present time? It would help those belonging to the Ridgewood For Black Liberation movement to figure out just why it is they are disrupting the peace in the Village of Ridgewood before the local citizens decide they, too, have rights. Among these are “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” which doesn’t include continual disruption of daily life by people obsessed with being in the spotlight.”

Washington DC, President Trump signed a memorandum yesterday to hold local politicians accountable for refusing to protect their communities from ongoing riots, lootings, and mass property destruction.

Per the memo, Federal agencies will identify what funds are provided to Seattle, Portland, New York City, and other jurisdictions that have allowed violence, lawlessness, and property damage to persist. Agencies will also determine what authorities are available to withhold these funds if and when necessary.

Where permissible, the Administration will restrict eligibility for certain Federal grants until these jurisdictions take the necessary steps to protect their residents.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood saw witness to another “Black Lives Matter” protest on Saturday . Demonstrators  were attempting  to show solidarity with those demonstrating in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ridgewood protests so far have been high on drama but low on substance.

The groups Ridgewood for Black Liberation, Brother’s United Bike Club and other community allies gathered at Van Neste Square Memorial Park to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, who was shot multiple times by a police officer in the Wisconsin town 40 miles south of Milwaukee. The group also marched to protest other instances of what they claim is police brutality.

“Another Saturday and another protest in the Village. Rumor has it the police overtime bill is nearing $40,000k if not more. So it looks like whether or not you support the BLM agenda, you will be paying for it in your tax bill.

In an ironic twist, the “Defund the Police” movement has actually created quite the opposite scenario, where these protests have actually funded the police by the tune of 40k more.”

Reader says Citizens get to PAY for all the stuff given away

phil murphy youtube1

“NJ with 16% unemployment, has one of the worst unemployment rates in the nation and he is making it legal for illegals to work with a license. How very progressive of him.

In a nutshell Murphy just said that your US citizenship means jack. So other than voting, what is the big advantage of being a citizen in the People’s Republic of NJ? Do you hear the crickets chirping.

Oh yeah, you get to PAY for all the stuff given away.”

Senior says I need a tax Freeze

philip

“I would like to confront gov Murphy with the fact he stole my freeze money for the very high taxes I pay in NJ. I have been paying these taxes since 1966. I am now a senior who is entitled to a freeze in my taxes which is sent to me in July This June gov Murphy just made one announcement that there would be no freeze money. I am 86 years old and I am retired. I need that freeze money desperately especially since the taxes in this state are higher than most states in the Union. Is there no one in our government to help us get back our freeze????”
