The Ridgewood Police Department will be seeking reaccreditation with the Coalition of Accredited Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The Ridgewood Police Department was initially accredited in 1996, and is currently the longest continuously accredited law enforcement agency in the State of New Jersey.

Washington DC,President Trump said he will pardon Susan B. Anthony, the leader of the women’s suffrage movement who was arrested for violating male-only voting laws in 1872, the pardon comes 100 years to the day after the 19th Amendment, which ensured women’s right to vote, was ratified.
Anthony, a strong anti-slavery pioneer who died in 1906, had been arrested in 1872 for violating laws that had permitted only men to vote in the presidential election. She was then indicted, tried and convicted for voting illegally and sentenced to pay a fine of $100 and court costs. Ever the dramatic flare, the historic New Yorker described her two-day trial in June 1873 as “the greatest judicial outrage history has ever recorded,” according to The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration.

“They purge voting rolls because somehow dead people often vote. Weird, right? I think what you are referring to about making it harder to vote is the need for voter ID. I think that’s kinda poor to assume that requiring, often minorities, to show ID is an unfair burden upon them. That’s kinda racist of you to assume colored people can’t figure out how to get ID… And it’s not right if what you say is true about Republicans purposely clogging voting stations. I will trust you are being honest about that, assuming you are right. Call out both sides. Hold them both to the fire. Dems do bad things too and you need to call them out.
In a healthy democracy dead people shouldn’t vote, illegals shouldn’t vote, you need to have a safe well guarded system that requires ID to vote to ensure security, and a guaranteed counted vote that vote by mail doesn’t offer.
At least Trumps solution is to stick to the status quo that we’ve trusted for the last couple hundred years and not trust a system that’s repeatedly failing — vote by mail. I don’t even particularly love him but the fact that he is arguing against a system that very well might take my vote away due to the past issues with vote by mail is enough for me to support him. I don’t want either of us losing our votes or others voting illegally.”

Ridgewood NJ, The spotted lanternfly is an invasive pest, primarily known to affect the tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima). It has been detected on many host plants, including apples, plums, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, almonds, and pine. It also feeds on oak, walnut, poplar, and grapes.
The insect will change hosts as it goes through its developmental stages. Nymphs feed on a wide range of plant species, while adults prefer to feed and lay eggs on tree of heaven (A. altissima). 1 If allowed to spread in the United States, this pest could seriously harm the country’s grape, orchard, and logging industries. Distribution and Spread The spotted lanternfly is present in China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. The insect was detected in Pennsylvania in September 2014.

Trenton NJ, Senator Michael Testa said Governor Phil Murphy’s plan to have voters cast their ballots almost exclusively by mail in the upcoming general election will cause unnecessary chaos in November.
“Governor Murphy’s plan to have everyone vote by mail will create unnecessary confusion in the upcoming general election when ballots will be cast for offices ranging from President of the United States to town council,” said Testa (R-1). “If our experience with the July vote-by-mail primary is any guide, New Jersey isn’t ready to pull off an election of such consequence by mail in a way that will ensure that every voter’s ballot is properly counted.”

Ridgewood NJ, on July 27th the Postmaster General Louis DeJoy delivered some grim news on the US Postal service, “The Postal Service is in a financially unsustainable position, stemming from substantial declines in mail volume, and a broken business model. We are currently unable to balance our costs with available funding sources to fulfill both our universal service mission and other legal obligations. Because of this, the Postal Service has experienced over a decade of financial losses, with no end in sight, and we face an impending liquidity crisis.
