Ridgewood NJ, the recent events at the Ridgewood Y are eerily reminiscent of Deputy Mayor Mike Sedon initial run for Ridgewood Council . Sedon was forced to resign  from his then reporter job after he entered the council race. It was claimed the resignation  occurred after an anonymous email was sent to Sedon’s employer . It became known as the Mike Sedon Email Incident  , speculation ensued and Sedon was elected to the council.

Candidate Melanie Hooban, a member of the Ridgewood Planning Board was just dismissed from her job at the Y shortly after her candidacy became official for the Village of Ridgewood Council   . Time will tell as to what the whole story is , but New Jersey politicians have used job threats for years to keep down the competition .

  1. A comparison to the village parks & rec department is not flattering.

  2. More like South Park than House of Cards

  3. “A comparison to the village parks & rec department is not flattering.”

I believe that the comparison was being made to the television show of that same name.

  4. Melanie Hooban, What are her credentials ? We need someone who leans toward and inspires growth. A business person is good. If honest. Someone who is aware of spending and always looking for growth by adding new tax base growth without raising current tax ratios.

  5. Melanie Hooban has the credentials. She’s served Ridgewood for years. What are the Vag’s credentials? He’s lost two prior election? He want high density housing and development I his real estate holding to line his own pockets? He want another money-losing garage in the CBD? He makes a good gyro?

  6. Yes, Mel is way more qualified to represent the Village
