Ridgewood NJ, the recent events at the Ridgewood Y are eerily reminiscent of Deputy Mayor Mike Sedon initial run for Ridgewood Council . Sedon was forced to resign  from his then reporter job after he entered the council race. It was claimed the resignation  occurred after an anonymous email was sent to Sedon’s employer . It became known as the Mike Sedon Email Incident  , speculation ensued and Sedon was elected to the council.

Ridgewood NJ, Come one, come all and celebrate the season with us at our Spring Fun Fest on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 11am-5pm.

We invite everyone to attend our Spring Fun Fest fundraiser featuring food trucks, live entertainment, carnival games and inflatables for the kids and more at the Ridgewood Y!

This outdoor event will be held on the grounds of the Ridgewood YMCA at 112 Oak Street. Attractions and activities will include food trucks with a variety of tempting dishes available for purchase, live musical entertainment, carnival games, face painting, inflatables for the kids and a beer & wine garden for the adults! This event is rain or shine and proceeds will support the YMCAs in Haiti and Puerto Rico.

PARTY HOST
As one of our Party Hosts, you’ll be in charge in running one of our themed birthday parties. In this fun role, you’ll set up the parties, run activities, help serve food and then help clean up afterwards. Parties run on Saturdays and Sundays for 3 hours in the afternoon. KIDS NIGHT OUT STAFF
One Friday night per month, from 6pm-10pm, the Ridgewood YMCA hosts a Kids Night Out, which gives parents the opportunity to enjoy an evening out while we entertain the kids! You’ll help host activities and supervise children ages 6-10. Must be at least 18 years of age with a HS diploma or equivalent and some prior experience working with children. TENNIS INSTRUCTOR
Do you want to share your skills with the future tennis stars of tomorrow? We’re seeking an instructor to teach on Monday afternoons. VACATION CAMP COUNSELORS
Love working with kids? Then consider working with us at our 2017 Vacation Day Camp. We’re seeking caring individuals to work 9am-5pm when children in grades K-8 are off from school during public school breaks. You’ll help children enjoy daily recreational and educational activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, and fun theme days! Must be at least 16 years of age. AQUA EXERCISE INSTRUCTORS

Ridgewood NJ, It is being reported that during swimming lessons weeknights from 6:30 to 8:30 a,t the Ridgewood Y  kids were told to urinate in the pool and not get out of the water. This is disgusting and uncalled for. Frankly, if you don’t want to instruct, and not get off your phones also, than find s new job! Are these people getting paid for this! It has happened several time. Who’s in charge!

Ridgewood NJ, Registration for the Ridgewood YMCA’s Summer 2016 session will open Monday, June 13 at 8:30am. The 8 week session of classes and programs will begin on Monday, June 27 and run through Monday, August 22.

YWCA Bergen County April Vacation Day Program Includes Fun Trips for Kids

Ridgewood NJ, YWCA Bergen County is offering its Vacation Day program for children in grades K-6 on April 11th through 15th from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Trips and activities include Bowling, FunPlex, Jump On In, Planet 301 and Movies. The YWCA Vacation Day program provides full day care from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on designated school holidays. Based at the YWCA’s 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood facility, the program is supervised by the YWCA’s trained child care staff. The fee is $65 per child per day for families that are current YWCA members, and $85 for non-members. Advance registration is required by Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

On Sunday, November 2, 2014 YWCA Bergen County will hold a free Fitness Open House from 12:30pm to 4:00pm at 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood, NJ. Open to the public, adults and teens can drop in for Yoga, Body Sculpting, and Gyrokenesis®! From 12:30pm to 1:30pm, learn the “ins and outs” of yoga postures with certified instructor, Lorraine. The practice of yoga improves our well-being not physically, but on all levels: physiologically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Body Sculpting with Valarie, from 1:30pm to 2:45pm, uses a variety of hand-held weights and resistance equipment as well as your natural body weight to build muscular strength and tone, boost bone health and metabolism. Improve your body and self-confidence! Stay from 3:00pm to 4:00pm for Gyrokenesis®, with Earline Randolph (beyondmovement studio), beginning on a chair with a gentle warm-up sequence followed by a series of fluid spinal motions which increase range of motion and prepare the body to explore more complex movements with agility and ease. Class continues with floor exercises followed by a rhythmic standing sequence that incorporates balance and cardiovascular exercises. Class ends with a calming, unwinding sequence designed to prepare the body and mind to reintegrate with the everyday world. Non – members must stop at the front desk to fill out a waiver prior to class. All classes run in 8-week sessions and are held at the YWCA’s 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood facility. YWCA Judo to hold Open House on Tuesday, September 2nd International Judo Champion Offers Instruction for All Ages at YWCA Bergen County YWCA Bergen County’s judo programs, taught by International Medalist and 5th Degree Black Belt Christine Maurer, to hold open house and free trail class (new students only) on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 5:45 – 6:45pm (Lil’ Dragons) and 6:45 – 7:15pm (U.S.J.A. Judo). Lil’ Dragons Judo and Life Skills (ages 4 to 7 years) combines Judo and life-skills training in a fun, exciting and enriching environment.
