Ridgewood NJ, On Saturday, June 10, 2017, ACT for America is having March Against Sharia events in cities across the nation.

This is a march against Sharia law and for human rights. Our nation is built on the freedom of religion — a pillar of our democracy — which we must always respect, protect, and honor. However many aspects of Sharia law run contrary to basic human rights and are completely incompatible with our laws and our democratic values.

We, at ACT for America, are committed to protecting women and children from Sharia Law and its impact on Muslim women and children including honor killing and Female Genital Mutilation. We must ensure that every woman and child enjoy the protection afforded by the U.S. Constitution.Sharia is incompatible with Western democracy and the freedoms it affords.

We stand firmly opposed to any actions by individuals or organizations that seek to attack or intimidate based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.  Our June 10th nationwide marches are in support of basic human rights for all – and against the horrific treatment of women, children, and members of the LGBTQ community that is sanctioned by Sharia law.

Where is Alfred P. Doblin of  the Bergen Record on this and all the “Gay Pride ” flag wavers  , maybe its time to come out of the closet  and really support the issue?

Please share this information with your family, friends, and mark your calendars for Saturday, June 10. #MarchAgainstSharia

Reader says This appears to be more of an attempt to ‘plant a flag’ and rub it in everyone’s face, rather than support for tolerance or anything.”

One reader sums it up perfectly , “There are many like me who do not really care about what people do in their bedrooms. Someone getting gay-married does nothing to my marriage so I couldn’t care less. We work with gay coworkers, have gay friends and really do not give any more thought to someone being gay than we do to someone being straight.

However, I only want the American flag flying on the Village Hall – not a rainbow flag, not a vegan flag, not a muslim flag, not a Black Lives Matter flag, and a Lenape flag and not the Confederate flag.

But it appears that if I as much as mention the same, I am going to be harassed and bullied for being a ‘bigot.’ How I lead my life, how I interact with people, how I do not discriminate at all between someone gay and someone straight in my real life does not matter. I am either screaming out my support for flying the rainbow flag or I am a bigot. I am suddenly no different from the people tossing gays off buildings.

This is nothing by extremism. And it is detrimental to the movement itself. Harassing and publicly bullying people may shut them down but the feelings of resentment will not disappear. This appears to be more of an attempt to ‘plant a flag’ and rub it in everyone’s face, rather than support for tolerance or anything.”

Stopped the paper after decades. Grew up reading great NYC dailies. It has deteriorated to trash. This seems to have a reporter,& councilman with similar vested agendas. That paper has trashed Christie, the Boy Scouts & the Roman Catholic Church regularly. Add Ridgewood to the caustic, repetitive onslaught that never has an ending. Very, very disappointed in this new politician.

Ridgewood NJ, Councilmen Voigt was caught in what appeared to be conspiring with the Alfred P. Doblin ,NorthJersey media from the Bergen Record  on Gay Flag issue . Voigt was caught in what looked like an attempt to undermine the council . Sounds like an Aronsohn move.

A reader commented , “Wedge issue, Voigt just fed his council colleagues a cr** sandwich. They willingly ate it and will now need to live with the electoral consequences. Snap prediction: neither Knudsen nor Sedon will end up running for re-election. Four members of the Council just revealed themselves as soft-minded, and the fifth, a devious alinskyite and a dedicated Aronsohn-style progressive. What a disaster.”

Reader says, “He doesn’t have the chops for this and ought to resign. Machiavelli would have deplored his childish outbursts and petulant behavior. Last night, outraged at having been discovered in his supposedly secret machinations that were actually on the public record because he used his official email address, he stormed out of the building before the closed session, probably to the relief of the other four council members who were about discuss items such as…bullying. Jeff, you’re demonstrating precisely the attitudes and alliances we feared. The years when three good council candidates must be found are tough! We did the best we could in 2016, but it wasn’t good enough.”
