Cliffside Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of TRAVIS VILLALOBOS (DOB: 1/26/1990; single; unemployed) of 117 West Over Place, Apt # 2, West New York, New Jersey; MATTHEW GALE (DOB: 10/18/1980; single; unemployed) of 9 Lincoln Place, East Rutherford, New Jersey; and RICHARD MURPHY (DOB: 5/08/1990; single; unemployed) of 192 Kensington Ave, Jersey City, New Jersey on charges of Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Marc Marano.

Details Emerge from Carlstadt Murder Suicide

Carlstadt NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that an investigation revealed JAMES T. COX (DOB: 06/14/77; divorced; unemployed) of 601 6th Street, Carlstadt, NJ, murdered his ex-wife, 34-year-old Massiel S. Deoleo of Mahwah, NJ, and afterward committed suicide. The investigation was conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, the Mahwah Police Department under the direction of Chief Stephen Jaffe, and the Carlstadt Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Berta.

Wyckoff Police Comment on Police and Bergen SWAT response to Home on Martom Road

Wyckoff NJ, Wyckoff Police Chief David V. Murphy reported that the police department received a report at approximately 12:41pm, from the Bergen County Mental Health Screening Agency (262-HELP). They requested an officer respond to a home on Martom Road with them to assist in a mental health screening of an adult male. Officers arrived on location and attempted to make contact with the male. The male came to the door and made several concerning comments and then barricaded himself in the home.

Wyckoff officers took a tactical position and contacted the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team for a response. The SWAT Team is under the direction of Acting Prosecutor Dennis Calo, Chief of Detectives, Robert Anzilotti and Bergen County Sheriff, Michael Saudino. With the assistance of the SWAT Team and negotiators, the adult male exited the home and was safely taken into custody at approximately 3:17pm. He was evaluated on scene and then transported to a local medical facility to receive treatment. Chief Murphy is grateful for the successful and safe conclusion, and the cooperation and patience of all residents in the immediate area. Chief Murphy would like to thank the Bergen County Prosecutors Office, Sheriff’s Department and all of the regional team members that responded.

This highly trained and equipped elite police unit trains constantly to keep you safe. When you see the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team on the streets and around shopping areas this season, take a moment to thank them for protecting us all.

Ridgewood Police Training Exercise

2/18/16 between 9am and 2pm

The Ridgewood Police Department will be conducting training at 499 Berkshire Rd at the corner of Ellington Rd. Along with the Bergen County Regional SWAT team. There will be numerous plain clothes officers in the area with training weapons and equipment no live ammunition will be used.

ALSO : Linwood Ave closed between Northern Parkway and N.Maple Ave until 5pm today. Detour is in place. Plan an alternate route.
