To our Gold’s Gym Paramus Family,

It is with tremendous sadness to announce that after 28 years we will be closing our doors at Gold’s Gym Paramus on Tuesday, November 3rd at 8pm. We are heartbroken to have to make this decision as we worked very hard to get back open after an unprecedented 6 month shutdown. It was great to be able to open back up and help people again for the past 2 months but at this time we are regrettably unable to continue operating any longer.
While we are filled with a wide range of many emotions we choose to celebrate what was an amazing 28 years with the greatest staff, members and community anyone could ever ask for! We look back with pride and gratitude at the thousands of lives we have touched, the results our members have achieved and the many friendships that were made at the gym. We are especially proud of the community service and charity work we were able to perform as giving back to our community was always one of our top priorities from the day we opened our doors. We have always wanted to be known as a gym that makes a difference and we certainly hope that we were able to accomplish that goal and make a difference in your life.

Ridgewood NJ, according to Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security , ELI LILLY A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine last week reported that convalescent plasma derived monoclonal antibody treatment (LY-CoV555), developed by Eli Lilly, showed clinical benefit in patients. The study found that patients experienced decreased viral loads and severity, and had no serious adverse effects in outpatients. The phase II trial involved outpatients that had mild to moderate COVID-19. A total of 452 patients participated, receiving either low, medium or high concentration of the antibody, or placebo. Researchers measured the change in viral load after 11 days of treatment, and the study has reported on interim findings. Patients receiving the medium dose (2800 mg) had about a 3 fold reduction in viral load. Differences among placebo and treatment groups were non-significant and smaller for both the low and the high dosage categories. However, patients receiving any antibody dose had lower symptom severity as well as lower hospitalization rates than placebo. Additionally, the percentage of adverse events was similar across treatment and placebo groups.

A co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, along with Dr. Sunetra Gupta of Oxford University and Dr. Martin Kulldorff of Harvard University—in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The three of us come from very different disciplinary backgrounds and from very different parts of the political spectrum. Yet we had arrived at the same view—the view that the widespread lockdown policy has been a devastating public health mistake. In response, we wrote and issued the Great Barrington Declaration, which can be viewed—along with explanatory videos, answers to frequently asked questions, a list of co-signers, etc.—online at www.gbdeclaration.org.
