“River Vale NJ, Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi commented on the ticketing of peaceful protesters Last Saturday Jennifer Rogers, a small business owner held a peaceful rally in Randolph, NJ to call attention to the plight of small business owners struggling to survive as a result of Governor Murphy’s Executive Orders keeping businesses shut indefinitely with no guidance. Friday, Jennifer Rogers received two summonses carrying significant fines against her for organizing the peaceful rally just one week ago. The summonses were for violating Governor Murphy’s Executive Orders by organizing the protest.Guess who today violated his own Executive Orders just several towns away? Yup, Governor Murphy, who proudly marched in several protests while blatantly ignoring his own social distancing requirements. While the two types of protests are admittedly very different in content, not only is it hypocritical but It is also unconstitutional to fine one protest over another based upon content.”

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Art  Institute still stands empty, after 3 months. This beautiful building was originally a carriage house, built during the time of Lincoln’s Presidency. If those walls could speak, the amazing stories they would be able to tell. The building was gifted to RAI, by the owners of the home directly across the street. For 85 years it has been a veritable sanctuary to those committed to the pursuit of excellence in creating Art, more specifically the study of Classic Realism for both children and adults. Our banner “Art Show Today” has greeted many new visitors, who have subsequently become Members, Patrons and Family.

Ridgewood NJ, at the June 4th Ridgewood Board of Education meeting , Ms. Kelly presented the revised 2020-2021 final budget with adjustments in the amount of $630,000 that were determined by a joint committee of the Village Council and the Board of Education as a result of the failed budget. Ms. Kelly outlined the proposed cuts and adjusted revenues, which can be viewed on the first slide of her presentation. Of the $630,000 in adjustments to the budget, $150,000 is the result of an increase in revenue, and $480,000 reflects reductions on the expense side. Reductions are being made in the areas of custodial, capital outlay, summer maintenance, and administration/benefits as the result of a reduction in a business office position. The second slide of the presentation shows the revised budget lines, indicating changes in the following budget areas: benefits, facilities, administration, and capital.

Governor Goes on Borrowing Binge, Public Union Workers Get Raise, Out of Work Residents Get Surcharge

phil murphy

Mr. Speaker,

This bill represents the culmination of a disappointing chapter in the NJ State Legislature’s history.

While public union workers are about to get a two percent raise in just 26 days, nearly 1.2 million of our constituents, the people who we represent, have lost their jobs. Everything considered in this Assembly has no respect for the taxpayers or their future.

Trenton NJ,Senator Anthony M. Bucco raised serious concerns about Governor Phil Murphy’s plan to borrow as much as $14 billion to fund government spending.

“Given his failure to consider fiscally responsible alternatives to balance the State budget, Governor Murphy’s borrowing scheme is premature, excessive, and almost certainly unconstitutional,” said Bucco (R-25). “When the State is already drowning in debt, New Jersey taxpayers cannot afford to give the Governor the blank check he’s demanding.”
