Multi-sport Standout Allison Bart Receives 2021 Angel Award

Demarest NJ,  Allison Bart, a 2021 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Angels, has received the Angel Award, the most prestigious honor an AHA varsity athlete can attain. Bart’s honor, which includes a $1,500 scholarship, was announced at the Parents’ Athletic Association’s virtual spring sports recognition event on June 15. This Upper Saddle River resident was honored for her contributions to the varsity basketball, soccer, and softball teams and for her exceptional dedication, spirit, and leadership.

Demarest NJ,  Angels for Veterans Moderator Angela Kunz and group member Reilly Guy ensured that veterans who are interred at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum would be remembered on Memorial Day. These Academy of the Holy Angels volunteers worked with the Fair Lawn Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts to place an American flag on every veteran’s grave.

Holy Angels’ Class of 2021 Varsity Dancers Sign with Top Collegiate Teams

Demarest  NJ,  just weeks after reclaiming their national title, four varsity dancers from the Academy of the Holy Angels’ Class of 2021 became members of some the nation’s best collegiate dance teams. This year’s recruits are Carmela Alessio of Belleville, University of Central Florida; Tamara Kim of Demarest, Vanderbilt; Giselle Martin of Bergenfield, Rutgers University; and Valeria Pernicone of New Milford, Villanova. A signing ceremony was held at AHA on May 26.

Saddle River teen’s non-profit promotes child literacy and educational equity

Demarest NJ, Saint Peter the Apostle School in Philadelphia recently received a delivery of over 700 books courtesy of Adventures in Ink. Academy of the Holy Angels junior Isabella Dail of Saddle River initiated this non-profit child literacy and educational equity program in 2018. These days, she is expanding her effort with the help of new team members.

DUBOSE aka “A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie” (DOB: 12/06/1995; single; musician) of NJ on charges of Unlawful Possession Of A Handgun and Possession Of Marijuana; QUASHAUN HAGLER (2/09/1987; married; personal security) of 1903 Arbor Springs Way, Buford, GA on charges of Unlawful Possession Of A Handgun and Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine; and SAMBLOU CAMARA (DOB: 12/25/1992; single; DUBOSE’s manager) of 120 Greenwich Drive, Bergenfield, NJ on a charge of Possession Of Marijuana. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

Academy of the Holy Angels Vocal Ensemble Record Hymn Sending Message of Hope and Harmony

Demarest NJ,  Several members of the Academy of the Holy Angels Vocal Ensemble are striking a chord for social justice, hope, and harmony with their rendition of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.”

AHA Choral Director Lisa Marciano and her a cappella group had been practicing this hymn in preparation for the Academy’s spring concert. This event, like many others, was canceled when the campus was closed due to COVID-19 health concerns.
