Ridgewood Crew Claims Two Gold, Three Bronze, and Ties for Second Overall with Five Team Medals at 2024 Stotesbury Cup

Philadelphia Pa,  Ridgewood Crew finished off its regularly scheduled spring season with a standout performance at the 2024 Stotesbury Cup, the largest scholastic rowing event in the country. In all, Ridgewood raced 11 boats and took home five medals — two gold and three bronze — tying for second place overall in podium finishes on the Schuylkill River this past weekend.

Philadelphia PA, this Halloween marked the 50th anniversary of the prestigious Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Although not quite as large as the Head of the Charles, this regatta is still one of the big ones, attracting nearly 9,000 rowers and over 30,000 spectators. It was considered to be the world’s largest one day regatta, until it grew so large that it had to be separated into two days. Collegiate teams, elite teams, and masters teams race on Saturday, while highschool and club teams race on Sunday.

Ridgewood NJ, , United States Attorney William M. McSwain announced that Angelo Perrucci, Jr., of Bangor, PA, has pleaded guilty to five counts of wire fraud before United States District Court Judge Joseph F. Leeson, Jr. The charges arise out of Perrucci’s scheme to defraud the estate of a client and its heirs by taking funds from the estate for his own personal use.

Saddle River teen’s non-profit promotes child literacy and educational equity

Demarest NJ, Saint Peter the Apostle School in Philadelphia recently received a delivery of over 700 books courtesy of Adventures in Ink. Academy of the Holy Angels junior Isabella Dail of Saddle River initiated this non-profit child literacy and educational equity program in 2018. These days, she is expanding her effort with the help of new team members.

Philadelphia PA, On Sunday night, the Washington Post ran a complete mischaracterization of the Trump campaign’s litigation in Pennsylvania, erroneously claiming the campaign had dropped the claim of nearly 700,000 ballots processed illegally and in secret. The campaign did no such thing.  In fact, because of a Friday ruling by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in an unrelated case, the campaign strategically decided to restructure its lawsuit to rely on claims of violations of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The claim that 682,479 ballots were improperly processed and counted is still very much part of the suit.
