Alert Neighbor’s Call Leads to the Arrest of 2 Would-be Car Thieves in Hawthorne

Hawthorne NJ, this morning around 0600,the Hawthorne Police received a call reporting two males attempting to steal a car from a driveway on Kenwood Road. An alert resident observed them and called 911 immediately. Upon responding to the area, officers observed one suspect leave the area in a vehicle while the second fled on foot. While one officer stopped the vehicle, other officers pursued the suspect on foot through the rear yards of the homes in the area. Both suspects, from Newark, were apprehended and charged accordingly. Additionally, they were in possession of both heroin and cocaine. Great job by the squad this morning! Make sure if you see something suspicious, call IMMEDIATELY!!

Glen Rock Police Find Abandoned Drug Filled Car

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police reported officers found a green 2000 Buick Lesabre abandoned near the corner of Cumberland Road and Tonawanda Road. The vehicle VIN number was tampered with and police reported finding  heroin folds and crack cocaine vials inside the car. That vehicle was impounded for investigation.

Patient Becomes Irate when a Doctor Declined to Prescribe the Tranquilizers and Amphetamines

Glen Rock NJ, at 4:06 p.m. on September 24th, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a medical office on Harristown Road on a dispute in progress. Investigation found that a 33-year-old Woodland Park man became irate when a doctor declined to prescribe the tranquilizers and amphetamines which he was seeking. The man reportedly threatened to assault the doctor and demanded his money back if the doctor would not write the prescriptions he was demanding. Officers escorted the man from the premises and at the request of the doctor directed him not to return.

During the months of May and June 2019, Shqipron IDRIZI distributed narcotics, namely LSD, to an undercover Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Detective. IDRIZI was arrested on June 7, 2019 in Fort Lee, NJ.
