Five Essex County Gas Stations Agree to $138,000 Settlement over Allegations of Overcharging Consumers

Newark NJ, Acting Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck today announced that the Division of Consumer Affairs has reached a settlement agreement for more than $138,000 involving five Essex County gas stations that were found to be overcharging consumers, including by selling regular fuel as premium.

New Jersey State Police Leads Multi-Agency Cooperative Deployment, dubbed “Operation Summer in the City,” Targeting Violent Fugitives

Newark NJ, the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit coordinated a 2-day cooperative mobile deployment dubbed “Operation Summer in the City.” This multi-agency effort led to the arrest of 20 fugitives in Essex County, which included 7 documented street gang members. These deployments will continue throughout the summer as part of a comprehensive initiative to reduce violent crime statewide.

NJ State Police and Partners Arrest 20 Fugitives, Including Individuals Wanted for Violent Crimes in Essex County

Newark NJ, The New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit coordinated a 3-day mobile deployment initiative that led to the arrest last week of 20 fugitives in Essex County, including individuals wanted for violent crimes. Of the 20 people arrested, 12 were identified as street gang members.

How To Vote In 2020 In South Orange And Maplewood NJ

If you live in the Maplewood and South Orange townships, you will have noticed that there have been some new additions to the areas as of late. Drop boxes for your voter ballots. They were put in place by the Essex County Clerk, and the locations you can find them at are at the Gazebo on Sloan Street in South Orange right outside of the train station and 1618 Springfield Ave if you
live in Maplewood.
