Visitor Injured in Elevator Accident at Kessler Institute in Saddle Brook

Saddle Brook NJ, an individual sustained a traumatic leg injury during a Thursday evening, 09/28, elevator entrapment at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation’s six-story facility located at 300 Market Street, Saddle Brook. According to sources at the scene the victim was riding the elevator with his adult son, having visited a relative at the Market Street facility, when the door opened and his arm and leg got stuck between floors.

Fire Quickly Subdued on Rooftop of Hackensack University Medical Center

Hackensack NJ, City of Hackensack Fire Companies responded to HUMC at 62 2nd Street for fire on the roof. The Fire involved a generator smoke stack with combustible materials at the roof line burning around the stack. Fire was brought under control in 30 minutes with no reported injuries. Companies from Englewood and Teaneck assisted on the scene. Fire is being investigated by Hackensack fire prevention.

Multiple Towns Called in on Maywood House Fire

Maywood NJ, on April 1st at approximately 16:06 hours, the Maywood Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 250 Maywood Avenue after a 911 caller reported heavy smoke coming from a house.
Maywood Police and Assistant Chief Gargagliano arrived on scene moments after dispatch and confirmed a working basement fire at 11 East Hunter Avenue. The working fire response brought mutual aid from Rochelle Park and Hackensack immediately to the scene. Maywood companies forced entry to the unoccupied house and advanced hose lines to extinguish the fire.
