Hackensack NJ, at approximately 4:20pm on November 8th , Hackensack firefighters demonstrated their unwavering commitment to public safety when they sprang into action during a recent incident at ShopRite located at 500 South River Street. While out on area familiarization, members of Hackensack Fire Department’s Engine Company 1 were flagged down to assist the store manager, who found himself in a heated argument with a disgruntled ex-boyfriend of one of his employees.

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred on Union Street in Hackensack on Saturday, July 15, 2023. At approximately 8:51 a.m., the Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 call from CareOne Wellington. Responding officers found 72-year-old Patricia Zaccario and 75-year-old Michael Zaccario (both of Wood-Ridge) deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating an apparent shooting that occurred in Hackensack on Saturday, July 15, 2023. At approximately 8:51 a.m., the Hackensack Police Department responded to a 911 call from a nursing facility. Responding officers found a deceased 73-year-old female victim and a deceased 76-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds.

Hackensack NJ, at approximately 1200pm Saturday the City of Hackensack Fire Department First Platoon was dispatched to reported kitchen fire at 309 Vincent Avenue , aka The Crows Nest . Arriving units investigated and found no fire in the kitchen. Further investigation revealed fire on the roof deck extending to an exterior office door frame.
