HO-HO-KUS, NJ — September 3, 2025 — A tractor-trailer mishap in downtown Ho-Ho-Kus caused significant property damage but, fortunately, no injuries on Wednesday afternoon.
Ridgefield Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 24-year-old PATRICK J. McARDLE of Ridgefield Park, NJ on charges stemming from a serious motor vehicle crash. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department, under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella.
Ho-Ho-Kus Nj, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, Sycamore Community Church, formerly known as the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus, hosted a ribbon cutting, tree planting, and sign unveiling ceremony to celebrate its official opening.

Ridgewood NJ, a young child sustained a serious head injury in a two-vehicle collision late Monday afternoon on July 29. The accident occurred on North Maple Avenue near First Street, involving a van and a BMW coupe.

Glen Rock NJ, in a shocking incident Tuesday evening, a man was shot at Wilde Memorial Park in Glen Rock, prompting a flood of 911 calls from concerned residents in Fair Lawn and Ridgewood. The shooting occurred during a busy time at the park, which was hosting a basketball tournament.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, FedEx Ground delivery truck slammed head on into a utility pole at the intersection of Deerhill Drive and Wearimus Road, Ho-Ho-Kus just prior to 12 noon on Friday, 12/08. The vehicle’s driver sustained a minor facial injury in the incident, but refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. Ho-Ho-Kus Police, Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, and Ho-Ho-Kus EMS responded to the incident along with crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division. Wearimus Road was temporarily closed between East Saddle River Road and Powderhorn Drive while PSE&G crews worked to replace a downed pole and restore electric service.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the driver of a silver colored SUV was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a crash in which the vehicle careened off of Route 17 southbound in Ho-Ho-Kus early Friday morning, 10/20, and slammed head on into a large tree. A bus stop shelter was narrowly missed by the fast moving car, but a bus stop sign was not as fortunate. The incident took place just south of Hollywood Avenue. A flatbed tow truck removed the wreckage.
