Ho-Ho-Kus Nj, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, Sycamore Community Church, formerly known as the Community Church of Ho-Ho-Kus, hosted a ribbon cutting, tree planting, and sign unveiling ceremony to celebrate its official opening.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, at July 23rd council meeting, Ho-Ho-Kus Police Officer Zachmann and Ho-Ho-Kus Police Officer Cronin, along with members of the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, were presented with the prestigious CPR Save Award.
Paramus NJ, a vehicle allegedly being driven erratically and speeding in Paramus crashed at the intersection of Route 17 northbound and Race Track Road, Ho-Ho-Kus early Monday afternoon, 04/08. The vehicle’s driver was handcuffed by Paramus Police officers and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus by a Ridgewood Fire Department ambulance. Two (2) passengers in the vehicle were initially detained by Paramus Police, but later released after being evaluated by EMTs. Police at the scene would not comment on the nature of their investigation, nor why the driver was handcuffed. Ridgewood Police and Ho-Ho-Kus Police also responded to the incident along with additional ambulances from Paramus and Ho-Ho-Kus. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked BMW SUV from the scene.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, FedEx Ground delivery truck slammed head on into a utility pole at the intersection of Deerhill Drive and Wearimus Road, Ho-Ho-Kus just prior to 12 noon on Friday, 12/08. The vehicle’s driver sustained a minor facial injury in the incident, but refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. Ho-Ho-Kus Police, Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department, and Ho-Ho-Kus EMS responded to the incident along with crews from PSE&G’s Electric Division. Wearimus Road was temporarily closed between East Saddle River Road and Powderhorn Drive while PSE&G crews worked to replace a downed pole and restore electric service.

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the first annual Molly Marie Pearson Memorial Blood Drive, hosted by the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps, will take place on April 28, 2022, between the hours 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps Building.
Mahwah NJ, Bruce V. Virgens, 69, of Mahwah, died on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Born and raised in Ridgewood, Bruce has been a long time resident of Mahwah.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a bright green Lamborghini was one of three (3) vehicles involved in a Sunday afternoon, 10/24, collision in the 700 block of East Saddle River Road, Ho-Ho-Kus. One (1) individual, reportedly a passenger in the Lambo, sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged Lambo and a Nissan Sentra from the scene. The third vehicle involved, a Jeep Cherokee, was able to be driven away on its own power. Traffic on East Saddle River Road near Bogert Road in Ho-Ho-Kus was diverted while emergency responders worked at the scene.
Ho Ho Kus NJ, This morning at 08:03 hours, the Ho Ho Kus Fire Department was alerted to Route 17 North at Hollywood Avenue for a reported vehicle fire. Responding Police & Fire units located a 1 car MVA into a tree in front of 831 Hollywood Ave with heavy fire. Members from Engine 733 quickly knocked the fire down with assistance from Engine 731. The single occupant of the vehicle was transported by the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. to a local hospital with minor injuries. The Ho Ho Kus Fire Department operated on scene for approximately 57 minutes.
Ho-Ho- Kus NJ , Yesterday at approximately 12:00 the Ho-Ho- Kus Fire Department was alerted to a home on Spruce Place for a report of smoke emanating from the first floor of the residence.
Initial reports from Police and Fire units confirmed a heavy smoke condition in the basement.

Ho Ho kus NJ, According to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department , at approximately 16:52 hours Department 7 responded to a residence on Bernard Place for a fallen tree onto a house and vehicle with an occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Arriving units advised live wires were involved and reported access problems to the trapped occupant. PSE&G was dispatched before rescue operations could begin. Once power was secured to the area companies extricated the occupant who was transferred to the care of EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The home involved suffered extensive structural damage. Ridgewood NJ, Two (2) injuries were reported in connection with a Saturday morning, 05/05, motor vehicle crash in front of 335 North Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus. Both victims, including an 8-year old with a head injury, were attended to by members of the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. , Ho-Ho-Kus Police investigated the crash while members of Ho-Ho-Kus Fire department dealt with a crash related fluid spill and battery disconnect. The two (2) vehicles involved in the collision were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.
