Applegreen Opening New Headquarters in Glen Rock ,to Invest $126 million Renovating 21 Highway Service Plazas in New Jersey

Glen Rock NJ,  New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and Applegreen, one of the largest on-highway service plaza operators in the United States and Europe, today announced an investment worth $126 million in the state of New Jersey, delivering hundreds of skilled new jobs to the Garden State over the coming years. Applegreen, an Irish-founded company, also announced that it will relocate its Travel Plaza Headquarters to Glen Rock, New Jersey. Glen Rock comes out a winner ,  برومو كود BetWinner, with the opening of the new Applegreen Headquarters in Glen Rock – where the company already has a presence – will add at least 100 new jobs in finance, administration, development, and logistics to the region.

N.J. Chamber of Commerce , It’s Time to Start Standing Up For Residents and Businesses

Trenton NJ, N.J. Chamber President and CEO Tom Bracken continues to kiss up to Governor Murphy and the Democratic legislator . In a statement Bracken claimed  that last Wednesday and Thursday, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce held a very successful “ReNew Jersey Business Summit and Expo” in Atlantic City. Some news coverage of the Summit included a comment made by me, in regard to the plight of the business community, that suggested the governor and Legislature “are not doing anything about it of substance.” Braken owned it then proceeded to back peddle and play CYA .

Ridgewood NJ, according NJ OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND PREPAREDNESS ,  Job seekers are urged to exercise caution during their job search, as they could be targeted with fraudulent offers via phishing emails, social media, or SMS text messaging, according to NJCCIC. Threat actors entice their victims with promises of opportunities that are “too good to be true” to deliver malware, steal funds or collect personally identifiable information. These schemes may cost victims thousands of dollars and negatively impact their credit scores, according to the FBI. Job seekers are encouraged to research potential employers before providing sensitive information to unknown senders. The NJCCIC also recommends reviewing its Identity Theft and Compromised PII product for additional guidance.

Leisure and Hospitality, Lead Job Gains in March

Washington DC, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 431,000 in March, and the unemployment rate declined to 3.6 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Notable job gains continued in leisure and hospitality, professional and business services, retail trade, and manufacturing. Household Survey Data The unemployment rate declined by 0.2 percentage point to 3.6 percent in March, and the number of unemployed persons decreased by 318,000 to 6.0 million.

NFIB Calls on Trenton Policymakers to Act to Suspend or Reduce $0.329 NJ Gas Tax Now

Trenton NJ, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) called on New Jersey lawmakers to help provide fuel cost relief for small businesses, workers, and commuters across the Garden State. NFIB’s New Jersey state director urged immediate action to either reduce or suspend the $0.329 state gas tax until fuel prices begin to stabilize.

Roseland NJ, This afternoon, Governor Phil Murphy delivered his budget proposal for New Jersey’s 2023 fiscal year which begins July 1. We applaud the Governor for proposing a budget that includes no tax increases or new fees. The NJCPA also commends Governor Murphy for once again including a full payment to the public worker pension fund, though structural reform to public worker benefits is necessary to end the ballooning burden of these benefits on the state budget. We also applaud the Governor for making a large allocation to debt defeasance.
