Recall Mayor Movement Heats Up in Ridgewood

Ridgewoood NJ, the current Mayor and Village Council will not stop just with ramming through an irresponsible sports complex and disregarding the needs and safety of the neighbors in its proximity. Other inappropriate and harmful projects will no doubt be forthcoming. The only remedy is a recall election of this Mayor to mitigate the pending damage, unfortunately a recall is what’s necessary.

No Furloughs for the Village of Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, it was a grim night at Village Hall last night as residents and  municipal employees braced for furloughs of Ridgewood Municipal employees . Ridgewood public works employees, residents and United Public Service Employees Union official Mark McCart gave a vigorous defence of village workers during the public comment period.

Hiring of new Ridgewood Village Manager in Jeopardy?

Ridgewood NJ, during Thursday evening’s Ridgewood Village Council Budget Meeting, Mayor Paul Vagianos said this about the likelihood of hiring a new Village Manager:  “I don’t know if we’re going to be able to find someone for the number we have plugged in.” Translation = Whatever salary the Village has budgeted for the position, isn’t likely to attract a qualified candidate.

Ridgewood Village Council Seeks to Impose 11:00 PM meeting Curfew

Councilmember Accuses Ridgewood Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Violating Open Public Meetings Act in Unilateral Decision to Remove Village Manager

Ridgewood NJ, Village Manager Heather Mailander was pressured to announce her resignation at the end of her report during the council work session Wednesday evening. Mayor Paul Vagianos and Deputy Mayor Pamela Perron pushed Mailander to resign on January 24th . Mailander held a dual title of manager and clerk, and resigned from the manager position only. She will remain as Village Clerk, a position she has held for three decades.
