Charging at Windmills: New Jersey Not the Only State Seeing Massive Wind Projects Cancelled

Ocean City NJ, President Biden’s Green New Deal faced a significant setback as developers of a large offshore wind project in New York withdrew from a deal with the state. Approximately 30% of current wind projects are at risk of delays or cancellations. Since July, projects in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Connecticut have been put on hold. The withdrawal of BP and Equinox from the New York project adds to the challenges facing offshore wind initiatives. While there may be attempts to revive the projects, this setback contributes to the offshore wind sector’s recent struggles. Notably, two other major projects, Empire Wind 1 and Beacon Wind, are facing financial difficulties, although they haven’t been officially canceled yet. The much-touted “green energy transition” appears to be encountering significant challenges.

6 People Arrested During Offshore Wind Farm Protest in Ocean City

Ocean City NJ, six protesters were arrested on Tuesday afternoon for interfering with workers prepping an area for offshore wind farms in Ocean City. The protest was against the surveys for Orsted’s Offshore Wind farms.

Polar Bear Plunge Postponed Due to Cold

Ocean City NJ, how cold is it , its so cold that annual Polar bear plunges planned in two Jersey Shore towns on New Year’s Day have been cancelled because organizers think it will be just too cold outside.

“Err on the side of safety” , Ventnor officials have postponed the event and Ocean City officials announced Thursday that their plunge had also been canceled due to the bitter cold. It’s not clear if the annual fundraising events will be rescheduled.

If you are still determined Polar bear plunges are still being planned for Monday in the nearby towns of Brigantine and Margate.
