Ridgewood NJ, in the Village of Ridgewood there is often a debate over the availability of parking in the central business district but there is another parking issue that no one likes to talk about , after a recent breakfast at Raymond’s Ridgewood a dinner loved the food but called the parking a “Total rip-off” and as for parking in Ridgewood, the dinner said , “$1.65 for an hour. no wonder there is nobody parked on the street.” Another visitor to the central business district said , “there’s lots of great places in Ridgewood but the traffic and parking are a pain”.

Ridgewood NJ, as if Ridgewood Hudson street garage does not already have a hole host of problems . Electric cars and gas-powered cars can vary in weight depending on the make and model, but generally speaking, electric cars are often heavier than gas-powered cars. This is because electric cars require heavy batteries to store the energy needed to power the vehicle, whereas gas-powered cars rely on a lighter fuel tank and combustion engine.

SHARED LOADING ZONES/15-MINUTE METER PARKING SPACES IN CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, there are new shared loading zones/15-minute meter parking spaces in the Central Business District (CBD). These shared parking spaces are on various streets throughout the CBD, and will be used as loading zones only from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and then as 15-minute metered parking spaces from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. only. These shared parking spaces are boxed out in white paint to delineate them from other parking spaces. These shared parking spaces will allow for businesses and eateries in the CBD to have space for their delivery trucks to park during the day, and then allow for the same spaces to be used for either pickup of food or a quick errand, from late afternoon to early evening. Please remember that you must pay the 15-minute parking meter when you use the 15-minute spaces from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ridgewood NJ, frequent readers of the blog know that for years the blog has pointed out congestion and access to the central business district is a far bigger issue than parking . Over the years the Village seems have done almost everything possible to make congestion worse ie… suicide bike lanes , traffic easing and street level valet parking and so on.
