Cybersecurity Incident Disrupts Ahold Delhaize USA’s Grocery Operations

Ridgewood NJ, Ahold Delhaize USA, the parent company of Stop & Shop and Hannaford grocery stores, recently confirmed a cybersecurity incident that affected parts of its U.S. network. In a statement issued Friday, the company said it promptly launched an investigation upon discovering the issue. External cybersecurity experts are working with Ahold Delhaize’s internal teams to address the problem, and law enforcement has been notified.

Village Offices and Departments will be closed on Monday, November 11th in Honor of Veterans Day

Minor hiccup affects Village of Ridgewood’s Fall tree planting program

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Village Council members were informed of a minor hiccup associated with the Village’s Fall tree planting program during their Wednesday evening Public Work Session. The minor hiccup is that some residents have balked at having trees planted in front of their homes. The reasons residents say “no way” differ.

Golden Finale: Ridgewood Crew Finishes Fall Season with a Win and Four Overall Podium Finishes at 2024 Hidden River Chase

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Crew capped off a highly successful 2024 fall season at the Hidden River Chase in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, claiming a gold medal and four top-three finishes overall. At the 4,000-meter event on the Schuylkill River that featured more than 200 boats from over 30 clubs around the region, Ridgewood had the second-highest number of team entries, with 14.

Ridgewood Crew Scores a Silver, Two Other Top 10 Finishes at 2024 Head of the Schuylkill Regatta

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Crew brought home a silver medal and two other boats finished in the top 10 on Sunday at the 54th annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta (HOSR) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Run on a 3,800-meter course that twists and turns under four bridges, this year’s Head of the Schuylkill featured more than 8,500 rowers of all ages from 282 clubs across the United States, Canada, and four other countries. Ridgewood sent 26 athletes to compete in 12 boats.

Facing strong winds, Ridgewood runners brought home gold in all four races: varsity boys, varsity girls, freshman boys, and freshman girls!

Bus Commuters Say Van Neste Square Terminal Poorly Lit

Ridgewood NJ, several Ridgewood bus commuters have advised members of our staff that the terminal building area at Van Neste Square is basically unlit during the early morning commuting hours. The only lighting in the area reportedly comes from a parking lot behind the building.
