Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood blog staff has discovered more rats at Van Neste Park. The rat infestation appears worse than originally reported.

There are currently 4 major construction projects in Ridgewood’s central business district and it would seem that the development is stirring up unwanted guests.

The Ridgewood central business district is already dealing with a growing homeless problem, rats only add to the perception the Village’s best days are far behind it.

RIDGEWOOD WATER 2019 HYDRANT FLUSHING SCHEDULE

Ridgewood NJ, Starting Sunday evening, October 20, 2019, at 9:00pm, Ridgewood Water (RW) will perform hydrant flushing in the systems of all four municipalities served by the utility. This is an essential part of our system maintenance program because it helps us to continue to provide you with high-quality water service. In order to cleanse the system, we have to systematically open the fire hydrants to increase water flows.
This allows us to “flush” any minerals and deposits from the pipes that may have accumulated. While flushing the system will not interrupt your water service, when crews are working in your area, you may notice a temporary drop in water pressure or discolored water. This is normal. If this happens, simply let your water run until it is clear. There are no health concerns associated with the minerals that get stirred up, but residents are urged to avoid doing laundry while crews are working. Ridgewood Water will notify registered residents using the Swift Reach Reverse 911 calling. Residents may register to receive these calls by clicking on the SwiftH2O link at the bottom of the Ridgewood Water website homepage at water.ridgewoodnj.net.

Reader suggests a camera at the bus station

66257993 10220126963428971 1792470735168471040 o2

” How about putting a camera at the bus station. And then we could find out who’s peeing and pooping all over the place. At times we can’t even go inside the building because it’s such a mess. Disgusting. What a shame. This is not the slums. And even if it was so it’s still not acceptable. This is an embarrassment to the village. The bus station is the biggest dirtiest site in the village. The mayor and council need to Restore the site. “

Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood has finally hit rock bottom. The Ridgewood Public library will be hosting a talk by former disgraced  NJ Governor  Jim McGreevey. McGreevey a serial con artist pursued a career in the Episcopal priesthood but was rejected. According to a source at the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, his rejection was not for “being gay but for being a jackass”.
