Reader asks , “Is there a possibility that the owners are tired of paying for their cars and deliberately “conveniently forget” the key fobs”

repo man lb 1

” Is there a possibility that the owners are tired of paying for their cars and deliberately “conveniently forget” the key fobs and possessions left in the car? Maybe they are like the “self-centered ass” who either figure “it will never happen to me” Or “who cares, I have insurance”. People have been reminded often enough to do the correct procedures which usually can keep their cars in safety to still have people who accidentally “forget” in the vast number of robberies we are currently seeing! “

Reader Blasts High Density Housing and Fairshare Housing

high density housing hero

” High density housing is pitched as some great humanitarian effort of sorts, but in reality is nothing more than exploitation of the poor and of a communities resources, for the profit of an outside interest (a corporation, investors/developers etc.) That profit will be dangled in front of your counsel members, commissioners and elected officials, and they will be corrupted by it, selling their community off for personal monetary gain. Communities must come together to support & educate each other in order to say NO to these proposals and not be fooled by the smoke & mirrors sales pitch story of housing shortage and increased revenues. “

NJOHSP, NJDOE Urge Reporting of School Threats

Ridgewood Police RHS

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, As another academic year begins throughout New Jersey, recognizing and reporting school-related threats remains of critical importance to the safety of students, faculty, and parents. NJOHSP and the New Jersey Department of Education recently sent a letter to administrators urging them to emphasize the seriousness of school-related threats and the concerns and consequences surrounding them. Recent mass shootings over the summer in Gilroy, California; El Paso, Texas; and Dayton, Ohio; coupled with the aftermath of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, in February 2018, are unfortunate reminders that schools must remain vigilant in reporting suspicious activity.

Once reported, this information is immediately shared among local, county, State, and federal authorities. The statewide information-sharing process through the New Jersey Suspicious Activity Reporting System allowed for an in-depth analysis on the changing trends in threats and tactics affecting New Jersey, finding that social media remains a pervasive method used by juveniles and students to convey school threats. All threats, including those directed at schools, should be reported immediately to local authorities and NJOHSP’s CTWatch desk at 1-866-4-SAFE-NJ or [email protected].

One such member is Wen Wen Vanderwende, now a first year student at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. This past spring, she won the Harmonium Composition Contest for 2019 with her piece entitled “Hymn to Venus.” She said that this past season’s study of 20th century music with Song of the Angels and Poulenc’s Stabat Mater influenced hercomposition.

Ridgewood NJ , according to the Ridgewood police over the last several weeks, there have been many cars which have been left unlocked, and many of them have the key fob in them.  At times, the actors take belongings and money from the cars, and other times, they steal the car.  In fact, four cars were stolen from residents’ driveways, 9/12/19 through 9/14/19, because the key fobs were left in the cars.

The Ridgewood Police Department is asking for help from the public to PLEASE lock your homes and cars and remove any valuables and keys or key fobs.  We do not want any police officers or civilians injured or killed in an attempt to catch the actors. The actors will move to other areas if they are unable to locate unlocked vehicles or find anything of value. In addition, if anyone has any video of the actors or events, please contact the Ridgewood Detective Bureau at 201-251-4536.

Ridgewood NJ, There are new parking regulations in the Village.  At the train station parking lot, twelve parking spaces, which are found immediately on the right as you drive into the parking lot, are reserved for those with Hudson Lot Parking Permits only.  There is signage in place, indicating that these are reserved parking spaces.  Please be aware that only those with Hudson Lot Parking Permits may park in these twelve spaces and those who park there without the Hudson Lot Parking Permit will receive a summons.

On South Broad Street, Prospect Street, and Dayton Street, there are parking spaces which indicate that Interim Parking Permits are required.  These Interim Parking Permit spaces require a permit 24 hours per day/7 days per week and were issued to those displaced from the parking lot behind the Hudson Street parking lot.  Please do not park in these spaces at any time unless you have an Interim Parking Permit or you may receive a summons.
