TWP. of Washinngton NJ, Township of Washington Police have seen an increase in entered vehicles and attempted/stolen vehicles over the last few weeks. Last night our East Side of town appeared to be targeted as well as other Pascack Valley towns. In all of the thefts, the vehicles were left unlocked. PLEASE remove your keys and key fobs, remove all valuables and most importantly lock your vehicles.
Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police a total of 439 high end vehicles were stolen in Bergen County in 2021. Vehicle owners in the region are experiencing an uptick in car thefts . The common denominator in there thefts were that the cars were unlocked !
Newark NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that five defendants were indicted today on charges that they conspired to operate a Newark-based stolen auto trafficking ring that fenced stolen luxury vehicles. They were charged in an investigation by the New Jersey State Police Motor Vehicle Crimes North Unit and the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ).
Ridgewood NJ, multiple vehicle break-ins and stolen cars are being reported on the north side of the Village, the area bordering Ho-Ho-kus. Ho-Ho-Kus residents are also reporting the same thing. East Orange NJ, the New Jersey State Police and Division of Criminal Justice have charged six suspects who were allegedly stealing work vans and pickup trucks in northern New Jersey and dismantling them to sell their catalytic converters and other parts for profit. During the month-long investigation dubbed “Operation Cat Burglar,” detectives linked the suspects to more than 30 stolen vehicles, stolen license plates, vehicle titles, and more than $20,000 worth of stolen tools and equipment.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Department despite the COVID-19 Crisis and stay at home orders, North Jersey communities continue to be plagued by vehicle thefts. In each and every case the keys or key fobs have been left in the unlocked vehicles or immediately accessible. During the month of May, a total of four vehicles have been stolen in Glen Rock under these circumstances. The most recent of which was reported on May 13th, taken from a resident’s driveway overnight. Two of the vehicles stolen over the last month belonged to the Glen Rock DPW. The other belonged to a resident and was parked in front of their home. In the past these types of thefts have happened in neighborhoods all over Glen Rock.
Paramus NJ, Paramus Police Department reports ,”We are very surprised to find out that car theft crews are not following the stay at home regulations. We had a vehicle stolen last night in the Alpine Drive area. With that being said, please keep your vehicles locked and take your key fob inside with you!”

Glen Rock NJ, Law Enforcement agencies along the Rt. 208, 17 & 4 Corridor have been experiencing a rise in the theft of high-end vehicles. In ALL cases the vehicles were unlocked with the key-fobs left in them. If a target vehicle in unlocked, and no keys are left in the vehicle, actor(s) remove valuables left in the vehicle.

Glen Rock NJ, The Glen Rock Police Department warns residents that Glen Rock as well as the surrounding towns have again been experiencing a rash of stolen vehicles overnight from driveways. All vehicles that are being stolen have the KEY FOBS LEFT INSIDE making it extremely easy for thieves to steal them. Please remember to remove your key fobs from your vehicles and lock the doors.
