Ridgewood NJ, the Tobacco Shop of Ridgewood has announced that starting today, Friday, April 1st 2022, they will be expanding our store hours for the spring season. The new hours will be Monday through Saturday, 11am to 7pm. We appreciate all your support and hope the increase in hours will make our store more accessible during the busy season. Ridgewood Roads Are Terrible and Have Been For Over a Decade

Ridgewood NJ, the village of Ridgewood roads are all in terrible shape despite the mild winter. In fact they have been in terrible shape for most of the last decade .It seems bad roads are the norm and becoming like Ridgewood Water restrictions , something that never goes away while water bills and property taxes keep going up .

Ridgewood Citizens Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC) to Install Pedestrian Safety Banners in the CBD

Ridgewood NJ, in an effort to insure pedestrian safety in Ridgewood’s Central Business District the Ridgewood Citizens Safety Advisory Committee proposed putting up 12 banners on light poles that are equipped with banner sleeves in the central business district  as part of the Be Street Smart NJ.

Fair Lawn Police Furnish More Details on Last Sundays Rollover Crash on Broadway

Fair Lawn NJ, the Ridgewood blog had previously reported that on Sunday March 20th the Fair Lawn Police temporarily diverted traffic on Broadway East and 30th street because of a motor vehicle crash.  Fair Lawn Police now report that at 8:26 pm Police Officer Anthony Ferreira, along with Officers, Pindyck, Cruz, Hearon, Boskovski, Roskowsky & Sgt. Wood, responded to Broadway at 30th Street on a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they found the vehicle overturned on its side and the operator entrapped.

Ridgewood Water Receives Multimillion Dollar EPA Grant For Water Treatment Faciality

Ridgewood NJ, Mayor Susan Knudsen announced that the Village of Ridgewood has been approved for a direct grant in 2022 in the amount of $2,800,000 from the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) .

Preliminary 2022-2023 Ridgewood School Budget Review

Ridgewood NJ, a tentative version of the 2022-2023 Ridgewood School Budget was presented, beginning with a review of the district’s mission and vision. The budget supports curriculum revisions and instructional resources that must be implemented in September 2022 in the following areas: Visual and Performing Arts, World Languages, Social Studies, and Career Readiness, Life Literacies, and Key Skills. The budget also supports professional development aligned to the goals of the strategic plan and innovative academic programming, including the integration of new instructional resources, the expansion of interdisciplinary programs, and the introduction of new courses. The budget provides the necessary staff and resources to support the academic program, addresses the responsible maintenance of our buildings and grounds, and stays within the guidelines of the New Jersey Statutory State caps. Anticipated budget challenges for the upcoming school year include staffing, transportation, inflation, and supply chain issues. Future personnel needs, summer capital projects, and future maintenance and facility needs were shared.

Village of Ridgewood 2022 Budget Up 2.9% with a Tax Increase of 1.99%

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday night, the Ridgewood Village Council held a Special Public Budget Meeting. During this meeting, Robert Rooney, Chief Financial Officer of the Village of Ridgewood rolled out the budget highlights and introduced the 2022 budget.
