Ridgewood NJ, in a dramatic turn of events on Saturday afternoon, August 24, a three-vehicle chain reaction collision in Ridgewood saw four adults and a several-months-old infant narrowly avoid serious injury. The incident unfolded in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue, near Orchard Place, and was triggered when the lead vehicle slowed down for a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Glen Rock NJ, in a shocking incident Tuesday evening, a man was shot at Wilde Memorial Park in Glen Rock, prompting a flood of 911 calls from concerned residents in Fair Lawn and Ridgewood. The shooting occurred during a busy time at the park, which was hosting a basketball tournament.

SUV Driver Loses Control and Hits Tree in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, an Infinity SUV sustained heavy front end damage early Tuesday morning, 05/14, when its driver lost control and slammed into a tree on Hampton Place, Ridgewood. A passenger in the vehicle who complained of chest pains was evaluated by Ridgewood Fire Department EMTs, but declined ambulance transportation to a hospital. A tow truck removed the wreckage. Ridgewood Police Department and Ridgewood FD/EMS responded to the incident.

No Injuries Reported After Vehicle Jumped Retaining Wall at South Maple Medical Office in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, No injuries nor damage were/was reported when a Toyota Prius jumped a retaining wall in the rear of a medical office building on South Maple Avenue in Ridgewood mid Friday afternoon, 05/10. This is not the first time in 2022 an almost identical accident occurred .

A flatbed tow truck was dispatched to aid in getting the vehicle back on solid ground. Ridgewood Police handled the single vehicle accident investigation.

One Arrest Following Ho-Ho-Kus Route 17 Crash

Paramus NJ, a vehicle allegedly being driven erratically and speeding in Paramus crashed at the intersection of Route 17 northbound and Race Track Road, Ho-Ho-Kus early Monday afternoon, 04/08. The vehicle’s driver was handcuffed by Paramus Police officers and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus by a Ridgewood Fire Department ambulance. Two (2) passengers in the vehicle were initially detained by Paramus Police, but later released after being evaluated by EMTs. Police at the scene would not comment on the nature of their investigation, nor why the driver was handcuffed. Ridgewood Police and Ho-Ho-Kus Police also responded to the incident along with additional ambulances from Paramus and Ho-Ho-Kus. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked BMW SUV from the scene.
