Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Ridgewood Crew claimed five flight victories at a 4th Manny Flick / Horvat meet that ended early due to high winds and unsafe river conditions. Sunday’s 1500-meter racing event on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia was the fourth of a five-race series, where nearly 500 rowers from 80 clubs across the mid-Atlantic competed.

Ridgewood NJ, during a Monday, April 8th Ridgewood Board of Education meeting, Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Schwarz announced his intention of hiring and deploying two (2) Class III police officers for the 2024/2025 school year. These two (2) officers would replace the existing one (1) Ridgewood Police Department School Resource Officer now serving the school district.

The celebration marks the anniversary of Saint Patrick’s death in the fifth century and represents the arrival of Christianity in the country. The Irish have observed this day as a holiday for over 1,000 years, and while the festival began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland, today it has become an international celebration of Irish culture.
