Ridgewood NJ, during the public comment section of the Ridgewood Board of Education meeting on October 2nd a concerned parent brought up the fact the the School district has a policy to not publish class ranking or at least tell seniors their rank which are often necessary for use to access merit scholarships .

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Board Of Education (BOE) meeting on September 18th took an unexpected turn when the issue of personnel committee appointments led to questions about the potential conflict of interest surrounding President Mike Lembo’s involvement. The scrutiny centered on Mr. Lembo’s decision to create a new committee and appoint himself to it, subsequently resulting in the appointment of his live-in partner to a district position as a substitute confidential secretary.

Ridgewood Board of Education Candidate Comments on Budgets, Facilities, and Sustainability

Dear Ridgewood Neighbors,

I would like to address the critical topics of budgets, facilities, and sustainability, which are of utmost importance to our community. In my bid for the Board of Education in 2020, I encountered a situation where the prior board was advancing a $96 million bond referendum, a substantial portion of which (38-40M) allocated funds toward replacing HVAC systems with sources of energy that are depletable.

New Jersey State Board of Education Puts Identity Politics Over Parents

Trenton NJ, Senators Anthony M. Bucco and Michael Testa said that the State Board of Education is focused more on advancing identity politics than building stronger relationships between parents and teachers in response to the board’s vote to approve a proposal to remove “equality” in the “Managing for Equality and Equity in Education” Chapter of New Jersey’s Administrative Code. The board should be more respectful of parental rights, the senators said.
