PSE&G Paving Schedule in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, PSE&G has completed the gas system upgrades in your neighborhood to ensure continued safe, reliable gas service.  Now that the ground has settled, we will restore roads with permanent paving.

The milling and paving activities will occur during daytime hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  Work is scheduled to start Monday July 17th 2023, and End August 10th weather permitting. Please abide by all emergency “No Parking” signs, as they will be posted 24 hours before work is scheduled to begin on each street.

Oakland Receives NJDOT Grant to Repair Patriots Way Bridge

Oakland NJ,  a $3 million grant called the , “the largest single grant ever received by the borough,” has been authorized by the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for repairs to the decrepit Patriots Way Bridge.

Ridgewood Paving Update: The County will be Paving Godwin and Linwood in the Near Future

Ridgewood NJ, the County will be paving Godwin and Linwood in the near future. Godwin Avenue will have intermittent closures this week for concrete work.
Linwood Avenue East bound will be closed (N Pleasant Avenue to Paramus Road), use East Ridgewood Avenue for detour.

Twp of Washington Roadway Milling: Washington Avenue & Pascack Road Intersection May 9 through May 12

Twp. of Washington NJ, the Township has  reached the final stages of the Washington Avenue and Pascack Road Intersection Project and expect Milling and Paving Operations to begin on Tuesday May 9th and continue through Friday evening, May 12th. During this final part of the project, please expect detours and major delays and plan an alternate route on the following dates.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police advises you to AVOID Boulevard and Oxford Tuesday 4/11 thru Thursday 4/13 from 7 AM to 5 PM.  The street will be closed for emergency construction.  Plan alternate routes.

Byrd School will be accessible from Rock Road to Boulevard to Marinus Place.  Leave home early and expect delays for school drop off and pick up.

UPCOMING ROAD WORK ALERT Route 208 in Wyckoff

Wyckoff NJ, the Department of Transportation’s chosen contractor will be replacing the culvert and guide rail on Route 208 North and South over an 0.63 mile stretch in the Township of Wyckoff.  There will be a shoulder closure with a construction barrier curb in both directions while work is being performed.

This project is currently scheduled for a target start date of April 28, 2023, which is subject to change due to weather and logistics.

Time to Farm Out Many Village of Ridgewood Services to the County

Ridgewood NJ, many of the major proponents of the parking deck in the central business district are starting to have second thoughts. Realizing that taking a sizable debt load for a depreciating structure that requires systemic subsidy was not a smart idea.  A little late to do anything about the structure, like turf fields in flood zones and the Village Hall wreck-on-vacation another thing resident taxpayers will be stuck with forever .

Overnight Road Closure – Washington Ave & Pascack Road in Twp. of Washington

Twp. of Washington NJ, during the overnight hours from Thursday 2/23/23 at 8:00pm until 6:00am Friday Morning 2/24/23, PSE&G will be working in the middle of the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pascack Road replacing a Gas Valve.  Major closures and delays are to be expected during these hours.

New Traffic Light Installation at Washington Ave & Pascsck Road in Twp. Of Washington

Twp.of Washington NJ, on Monday 1/30, Tuesday 1/31 and Wednesday 2/1 construction crews will be conducting work, installing the new traffic signals at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Pascack Road.  Lane and/or road closures are subject to change every few hours as the work moves from one corner to the next.  Work will be conducted from the hours of 7:00am until approximately 4:00pm. Please expect delays in the area. Make sure to follow the Township of Washington Police Department on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for more up to date information on any traffic pattern changes.

Route 17 Southbound Ramp from Lake Street to be Closed and Detoured Beginning Monday Morning in Ramsey

Ramsey NJ, the Route 17 southbound ramp from Lake Street is scheduled to be closed and detoured beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, January 30 in Ramsey, Bergen County.
The closure is necessary for drainage work and is expected to be in place for approximately one month.

Hackensack NJ, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the County of Bergen have long concluded that Route 17 from Essex Street in Hackensack to the cloverleaf at Garden State Plaza in Paramus need to be widened in order to alleviate traffic congestion in the area . For most commuters and shoppers living in Bergen County this fact has been obvious for a very long time.
