Al Qaeda’s online magazine tells terrorists to target U.S. business leaders in their homes

Bill gates

By Rowan Scarborough – The Washington Times – Sunday, May 15, 2016

Al Qaeda’s Inspire online magazine is calling on jihadis to damage the American economy by killing business leaders and entrepreneurs in their homes.

Articles in the May 14 edition, its 15th, also urge radical Islamic terrorists to emulate the Palestinian street-killings of Jews by walking up to Americans and stabbing them to death.

Inspire’s cover carries the headline “Professional Assassinations” and the subhead “Home Assassinations.” It depicts the dark profile of a hooded killer stalking a victim who lives in an upscale American home.

A photo montage shows Microsoft founder Bill Gates, a pistol and spattered blood.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police report that on Saturday September 5, 2015, a William Street resident reported a suspicious interaction with a suspicious man while holding a garage sale at his/her residence. The man asked if he could enter into the resident’s home to look at other items that he might be interested in purchasing and he persisted until the homeowner allowed him to do so.

At some point the man became extremely pushy and initially refused to leave the home when asked, making the homeowner uncomfortable. This is a frequently reported pattern of behavior by persons looking to take advantage of these situations often targeting the elderly or unsuspecting citizens and often times working in unison with an accomplice known as a “distraction scam”.

Ridgewood Police urge residents to  , “Use great caution when allowing any strangers entrance to your home.”

Fake customer service rep trolls complainers of Target’s new gender neutral policy

target_dog

BY ANDREA ROMANO

Target started an effort to become more gender inclusive, doing so by getting rid of gender-based signs in its store’s toy sections. Unfortunately, not everyone is happy about it.

As with every progressive brand change, people have been flooding Target’s social media pages with serious and sarcastic complaints about its new policy, which was announced on Aug. 7.

In response, a Facebook troll called Ask ForHelp has been responding to these unhappy customers with hilariously snarky comments, pretending to represent Target customer service. Naturally, the account doesn’t take being made fun of with a grain of salt.

Target agrees to pay $10 million to settle lawsuit from data breach

WASHINGTON Thu Mar 19, 2015 6:19am EDT

(Reuters) – Target Corp (TGT.N) has agreed to pay $10 million in a proposed settlement of a class-action lawsuit related to a huge 2013 data breach that consumers say compromised their personal financial information, court documents show.

Under the proposal, which requires federal court approval, Target will deposit the settlement amount into an interest bearing escrow account, to pay individual victims up to $10,000 in damages.

The claims will be submitted and processed primarily online through a dedicated website, according to the court documents.

The proposal also requires Target to adopt and implement data security measures such as appointing a chief information security officer and maintaining a written information security program.

“We are pleased to see the process moving forward and look forward to its resolution,” said Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder.
