Freehold NJ,  Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin today announced that a former member of the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) has been sentenced to prison time without the possibility of parole, after a jury found him guilty of misusing an NJSP identification card, which he should not have had in his possession, in order to get out of a series of police traffic stops in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

NJ State Police Try to Dispel the Rumor of “Summer Ticket Blitz “

Trenton NJ, Colonel Patrick J. Callahan of the New Jersey State Police was featured on News 12 to dispel the rumor that a ticket blitz by the State Police would occur where fines for summons would be increased. Although Colonel Callahan confirmed that this is fictitious, he did reaffirm that troopers are always on patrol 24/7 enforcing traffic violations. New Jersey State Police want to remind everyone to obey traffic laws and to drive safely.
