Owners Move Quickly on Warner Theater in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, according to sources the Village was made aware over three months ago of the closing of Warner Theater. The iconic Warner Theater in Ridgewood  sadly closed its doors after nearly a century of being a cherished downtown landmark. On February 17th the Ridgewood Historical Society held the sale of theater seats and today dumpsters are already parked inform of the former theater.

Thanks to the owners for their willingness to allow our residents the opportunity to take piece of history away with each purchase, all while supporting the Ridgewood Historical Society .

Arts for Our Village Youth: WE WANT TO WATCH MOVIES IN RIDGEWOOD

Ridgewood NJ, Arts for Our Village Youth is a new group in the Village of Ridgewood with the goal of supporting the interest of the youth of Ridgewood in the development of the new Performing Arts Center (the old Ridgewood Warner Movie Theatre). The group is the brain child of resident Zarmeen Patil, who asked in a Facebook post,”Who’s with me to fight the erosion of our community – our fight to keep the theatre. Let’s not fix what ain’t broken.”

Warner Theater in Ridgewood to Close For Good

Ridgewood NJ, Bow Tie Partners, the parent company of the Warner Theater, has officially declared the permanent closure and cessation of operations for the longstanding Ridgewood movie theater. The final evening showtimes on Sunday marked the conclusion of its operations, as announced in a press release on Monday, cue the calls for a RHS Performing Arts Center.

Ptl Ward and Sgt John Chuck of the Ridgewood Police Department make daring arrest in Warner Theater

Ridgewood NJ, On September 21, 2014 at 7:14 PM Ptl John Ward was flagged down at the end of the street fair on East Ridgewood Avenue. A juvenile male reported that a man had approached his friend attempting to get his phone and followed him into the movie theater.
Ptl Ward accompanied by Sgt John Chuck found a male party in the theater who had confronted the juvenile. Numerous witness confirmed the incident and the accused Darnell Dixon 30 of Paterson was arrested and charged with attempted robbery. The accused was remanded to the Bergen County Jail unable to post $75000.00 bail.
