Englewood Cliffs NJ, the Englewood Cliffs Police Department is proud to announce the swearing in of our newest officers, Christopher Corra (formerly the Ho-Ho-Kus Dispatcher )and Matthew Maretic on 12/22/2022. Members of the Police Department and Mayor Mario Kranjac attended the swearing-in ceremony. The honorable Judge Carolina Calderon administered the oath of office to the new officers. Officer Corra, a Township of Washington resident, was previously a dispatcher with the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department. Officer Maretic, a Closter resident, was a collegiate swimmer and worked for a family owned and operated business. Officers Corra and Maretic were selected after a comprehensive hiring process, consisting of a written examination, physical assessment, and thorough background investigation. The officers will attend the police academy at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute in January 2023.

Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock police Lt. Frank Riggio an ex-con wanted on a federal warrant was caught Monday with a .40 caliber pistol, a high-capacity magazine and hollow-point bullets in Glen Rock. Aaron Williams, 30, of Paterson, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals for violating terms of his probation and / or supervised release. He was arrested in connection with the firearm and ammunition charge at 5:12 a.m. Monday in the area of Bradford Street. Williams was sitting inside of a car when Glen Rock officers arrived to investigate a dispute he was reportedly involved in. He was then charged with providing false pedigree information to officers to hinder apprehension and multiple weapons offenses. Williams was remanded to the Bergen County Jail on the charges and the federal warrant.
