UPDATE: Male Bicyclist Struck and Critically Injured by a Passenger Vehicle at the Intersection of Prospect Street and Grove Avenue in Glen Rock

Glen Rock  NJ, a male juvenile bicyclist was struck and critically injured by a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Prospect Street and Grove Avenue, Glen Rock early Saturday afternoon, 09/24. The victim was transported by a Ridgewood EMS ambulance to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. EMS support during transport was enhanced by an accompanying paramedic team from The Valley Hospital. Bergen County Sheriff’s officers and Ridgewood Police officers assisted with traffic control at/near the crash site. Police and Sheriff’s officers escorted the ambulance to Saint Joseph’s. The accident investigation is being conducted by Glen Rock Police. The driver of the passenger vehicle involved remained on the scene and was cooperating with police officers.

Ridgewood NJ, the Dow Jones Industrial average dropped below 29,400 midday Friday to its lowest point in nearly two years. Since the Fed started raising interest rates in March, the index has lost more than 13.7 percent of its value.

Archdiocese of Newark High School Students Score in top 1% of Nation on PSAT/NMSQT Exam

Newark NJ, High school students across the Archdiocese of Newark were recently recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) for outstanding achievement on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in 2021. The PSAT/NMSQT is the qualifying test for entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Brazen Female Mail Thief Steals Glen Rock Residents Mail in Broad Daylight

Glen Rock NJ, on Saturday September 17th at 11:18 AM a Glen Rock resident of Harristown Road reported a theft of mail from his mailbox. The resident stated that camera footage captured a vehicle enter his driveway.  A female occupant walked around the outside of his home and then entered his front porch. The female tried to open the front door of the home which was locked at the time and then proceeded to remove the mail from the victim’s mailbox. The actor then took the mail and returned to her vehicle and left the scene. The Glen Rock detective bureau is investigating.

Ridgewood NJ, the Village of Ridgewood provides rear yard garbage pickup to all residential homes. The garbage must be in containers, with lids on them. If residents choose to bring their garbage to the curb, the garbage must also be in containers, with a lid. The containers may not be placed on the curb prior to 5:00 p.m. on the night before the collection and must be placed no later than 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection. All containers must be removed from the curb and returned to the resident’s property no later than 11:59 p.m. on the day of collection. Residents placing garbage bags at the curb, that are not in a container, will receive a warning and then a summons, if the garbage bags continue to be put at the curb without a container, with a lid. Classic 1965 Porsche Wrecked in collision with a Minivan and a Utility pole in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, a classic 1965 Porsche was wrecked when it collided with a minivan and a utility pole on Friday afternoon, 09/23, at the intersection of Franklin Turnpike and Nagle Street, Ridgewood. Both drivers and a minivan passenger were transported by ambulances to The Valley Hospital. Ridgewood firefighters attended to a crash related fluid spill in addition to providing EMT services. Ridgewood Police handled traffic control and investigated the crash. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Judge Orders Stablecoin Issuer Tether to Produce Documents Showing Backing of USDT

New York NY, a judge in New York has ordered Tether to produce financial records relating to the backing of USDT. Tether is required to produce general ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow statements, profit and loss statements, and records of any trades or transfers of cryptocurrency. Tether has also been ordered to share details about the accounts it holds at various crypto exchanges. The company is being accused of using USDT to inflate the price of bitcoin.

West Milford Man Gets 84 Months on Child Pornography Charges
