The lawsuit, originally filed in 2018 by a coalition including the Latino Action Network, NAACP, and other advocates, argues that the state’s current school district system exacerbates segregation, despite laws prohibiting the practice.

Male Fair Lawn Library Worker Alleges Gender Discrimination in Lawsuit

Fair Lawn NJ,. a Fair Lawn Public Library employee, Alexander Cardillo, has filed a discrimination lawsuit claiming he was fired and replaced by a less-qualified woman due to his gender. The lawsuit, filed on February 13 in state Superior Court, alleges violations of New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination and unfair treatment by the library director and board.

Chairperson of the Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Board Implores Village Council to Maintain and Improve the Ridgewood Parks

Ridgewood NJ, at the February 19, 2025 Village Council Budget hearing,  Richard Brooks spoke.  He is chairperson of the Parks, Recreation, and Conservation Board.  He implored the Village Council to provide funding to maintain and improve the parks, and to repair “wear and tear” damages to the fields.  He also spoke of planning for the future for improvement and expansion of parks and fields.
