Palisades Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 31-year-old JORGE ORREGO-GARCIA of Palisades Park, NJ on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Palisades Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Anthony Espino.

Ridgewood NJ, on March 19th, Glen Rock Chief Dean Ackermann and Allendale Police Chief Michael Dillon joined Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella at the Ridgewood A.M. Rotary Club luncheon. #BCPONJ is continuing to sound the alarm about the prevalence of life-threatening fentanyl. Prosecutor Musella has been speaking with Bergen County residents about the dangers of taking any substance not prescribed by a doctor. Hasbrouck Heights NJ, at approximately 9:30 pm on March 17th, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department swiftly responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a rollover at the intersection of Route 17 S. and Williams Avenue. Upon arrival, Chief 60, Chief 61, and Chief 62 confirmed the rollover with entrapment. A 10–30 distress signal was transmitted, prompting mutual aid from the Wood-Ridge Fire Department. Crews from Squad 1, Engine 2, and the Rescue skillfully extricated the victim, who was then treated by EMS. Additionally, several handlines were deployed to address a significant fuel spill of gasoline and diesel. The Wood-Ridge Fire Department provided assistance on the scene and covered the Borough during the extended operation.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert M. Guidetti.

Ridgewood NJ, during Saturdays Nor-ester a tree and utility pole went down at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Gardner Road. Residents in the area were without power. PSE&G and the Ridgewood Police and Fire Department responded . No injuries reported.

Piscataway Township NJ, on a large parcel of privately owned land on S. Washington Avenue south of Centennial Avenue and north of Metlars Lane, Piscataway Township denied a builder’s plan to construct nearly 300 condos as well as over 103,000 square feet of retail/commercial space which would have placed a strain on Piscataway roads and the school system. After suing the Township to obtain his approvals for the high-density housing, the builder then changed his plans and proposed a logistics center which would bring revenue to Piscataway and good paying jobs to hard working residents. While the logistics center plans fit within the existing zoning code, the Township was able to require measures to mitigate the impact of the center on the nearby school.
