Ridgewood NJ, James P Lavin, age 83, of Ridgewood, NJ passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023. Surviving him are his daughter Jean (Ian Morgan), sons James and Thomas (Amanda). Proud grandfather of Liam and Henry. His sister Barbara Tomany survives him, as do nieces Karen and Jennifer, nephews Tommy, Marty, Matthew and Patrick. He is predeceased by his wife Bridget Lavin, sister Priscilla Heatherton, brother Tom Lavin, nephew Robert Heatherton and sister and brothers in laws Katherine Lavin, James Tomany and George Heatherton.

Ridgewood NJ, according to Realtor.com®’s February housing data, the inventory of homes for sale continued to grow, driven by homes spending more time on the market as buyers continued to face affordability constraints. A few larger metros also saw inventory increase above pre-pandemic levels. Selling activity continued to decline, with fewer newly listed homes compared to last year, despite an uptick in seller sentiment seen in January.

The group included Janine Gelles, Mary Hefferan, Robert Kearney and Kevin Scarpa being sworn in as lieutenants. Eric Frielink, Jonathan Hyslop, and Corinne Scarpa were sworn in as captains, physician Robert Lahita was sworn in as medical director, and Will Kievit took the oath for volunteer EMS coordinator and division commander of special operations.

Roseland NJ, nearly 60 percent of the more than 275 certified public accountants (CPAs) surveyed by the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) said Governor Murphy’s proposed $53.1 billion budget for the 2024 fiscal year will leave the state’s economy either marginally worse or significantly worse over the long term. More than 20 percent believed it would stay the same, and 20 percent said it would be marginally or significantly better.
